Captin American and the Avengers for the snes, Im usely good with games like that but dang, that game is so hard for me to play! I got it when I was 5, 18 now and I still cant beat the damn thing The arcade verson of it was alot more easyer to beat then the snes verison..well shorta

I think the hardest game is Shinobi. The game wasn't even that good, but it was so hard it was fun.

Super Ghosts & Goblins was really hard. Anyone who played it could tell you how hard it was to get past the first level. And then when you got to the end, those red gargoyles got so annoying.

Anything ghosts and goblins and ghouls and ghosts. rock hard. beats-the-crap-out-of-you-and-dips-your-head-in-the-toilet hard.

Mortal Kombat 2 was such a hard game. I took AGES getting past it and even then only on normal.

Yeah, Ghosts and Goblins was definitely the hardest game ever made. I think i just kinda stopped playing it after a while

i never beat castlevania bloodlines such a tough game warriors of might and magic for ps damn i can't even see a thing in that game also the demon's crest the true last boss is INSANELY HARD and specially Magician lord for NeoGeo its really hard to clear a level without dying in that game

Contras, Metal Slugs, and Ninja Gaidens are all pretty hard. Shinobi (PS2) is challenging, but more in an annoying way than a "hardest game ever" way because of the life-depleting mechanic. Besides all the typical difficult 2D side-scrollers and shooters, DMC3 is pretty rough. And Super Monkey Ball expert levels made me sad.

The hardest game I ever played was Super C for the NES. I can get through most of it now, but when I reach the last level with the falling cieling and the killer bubbles... ugh. That room is nearly impossible for me alone, and I have never made it past there with someone else as P2.Not to mention that you lose a life in one hit no matter what hits you, and that lives are hard to earn.
