As everyone else already said lost magic is great, but if u want another game try children of mana, mario and luigi partners in time, or magical starsign.

The only RPG I've played Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and I really loved it. There may be better (I don't know), but M&L is really unique and new so I'd recommend it!

Children of Mana was ok, not the greatest though. I really enjoyed FF3 and Lunar Knights though. Not sure which one I'd say is better. I have also been playing Heroes of Mana and FFXII: Revenant Wings on the emulator in Japanese, so I can't really comment on the stories but the gameplay is exceptional and unique. I'm sure those will have an argument for being the best DS RPGs soon, too. All of the other RPG titles on the system so far haven't really impressed me. Mario and Luigi wasn't as good as the one on GBA, and Lunar just wasn't what I expected.

Mario and Luigi partners in time is good, so is Final Fantasy 6. Either of those games is well worth the money. FF6 is longer than partners in though so if you are looking for more play time then go with that.

ff12 is definitly one of the best rpgs for ds now even if you cant read japanese the game is pretty easy to understand same with the controls

More quality RPGs would be nice. FF3 was good, but it was lacking at times. Every now and then, the plot would get boring and it would be a moment of "Hey...you go out and figure out what to do next on your own, because the end of the last plot event didn't point you in any direction."

I only hope that Square Enix will keep developing RPG games now for Nintendo DS. Their game are the best ones... like the Final Fantasy saga and Chrono Trigger for the previous plataforms. And excuse me for my english. I know I don't write well done because I'm still learning it. See ya.

I wasn't really impressed with FF3, if you are going to implement jobs, don't force me to level to 30 in a garbage class just to get to something good. Creatable chars would be better for a job system, like in FF:T.Magical starsign was also fun, but got boring, as for EVERY battle you have to tap your chars, after a while you just want them to kill the stupid monsters by themselves.Lunar actually made me sick, it looked like it was made by a third grader.Puzzle quest is a fun rpgish type game, if you like bejeweled spinoffs

my favorite rpgs are zelda and pokemon... both of which are great choices...final fantasy isnt bad too!
