traditionally i think u should start out with a pokemon diamond or pearl, but u can also get FF. Thers also another RPG called lost magic that relly good too.

Bah for the million time zelda is not an rpg!!! is an action/adventure/puzzle game!!!!For the ppl that knows jpn or at least can find a good translation guide here are my suggestions that iam also trying to play:-Archaic Sealed Heat -Soma Bringer -Tales of Innocence -Rondo of Swords (this one might have a us realease)-Etrian Oddisey 2 -FFTA 2 Sealed Grimoire

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker is the best out so far IMO. Better than Pokemon.

Go for Final Fantasy III if you're a hard core gamer and have tons of patience... but if u like more creative games, go for Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass... Its not an RPG in the hardcore sense of leveling your character and earning a crazy party to fight with, but more of an adventure... Suits my taste better than the older traditional RPG's

I havent played neither Lost Magic nor Tao's Adventure so i wouldnt know but... i think based on the facts that lost magic is better.

Could please tell me how you got a English Patch for Naruto RPG 2!?! Also, I don't think you'd know where I could get one for, "From the Abyss" would you...?Please respond as soon as possible and thanks in advance.Now, to remain on topic, there are a lot of decent Japanese RPGs for DS. I only want to play the Naruto / Bleach ones, but their all pretty good, speakin' gameplay wise, but you'd really need a English Patch for the rom.Lost Magic is fun, Lunar: Dragon Song is decent....but a big let down, imo. There is mario and luiqi RPG. There are also a handful of Japanese RPGs out if you can get over the language barrier....I know I beat Naruto RPG 2.

If you haven't tried Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, try one of those, it'll last you a good 100+ hours of funCurrently I'm playing The World Ends with You, which is good also.Waiting for FFIV though! That'll be great.
