well..... im one of the huge Zelda/Mario fans what i think so like a personal zelda game that what i think that's worse is .... Legend of Zelda Wind waker not in the gameplay way or story but the graphics ...... it was like a childrens cartoon there was no reason to play it cos it didn't look liked zelda they never used the real graphic powers of the Gamecube

Zelda II, It took a major detour from the gameplay of the original. It tried to be innovative and exciting but it just didn't work. Guess that's why Link to the Past used the same style as the original.

i would have to say that WW is the worst LoZ game just due to the fact that the idea about the ocean sucked, and the fact that the graphics were horrible....way to bright for it to be a decent LoZ game.....

i think that the legend of zelda four sword for the gba is the worst. i believe that because you have to have four players and you cant play it without 4 people and no less.

I really didnt like the graphics for minish cap or windwaker and i couldnt get into minish cap so thats why i say the worst. Oh and all of you that say the 1st one is the worst come on. without that we wouldnt have a series now and that game is very good even though it is really simplistic

As far as I'm concerned, the Zelda series is dead. Dead and gone. With the exception of Majora's Mask, which everyone except me hated because they can't stand the idea of innovation, they've all been identical since Link to the Past. That's right: IDENTICAL!! In Link to the Past it was great, first you gather the three Amulets, then you deal with the Six Temples, then you storm Ganon's Tower. It was great. Then came Ocarina of Time (Another game I can't stand because of all you Internet Fanboys). I started the game thinking "Cool! New Zelda-saving action!" Ten minutes later I was thinking "Wow! Link to the Past in 3D!!" Half an hour after that I was thinking "Wow. I'm bored now. I've already done all of this." Majora's Mask was a far BETTER game than Ocarina of time, because it brought CHANGE to the series. It was something new. And the Masks? Sheer Genius. A massive variety of masks with different uses, that made it possible to play through the game in a variety of ways. And, on top of that, you didn't have to start a new file to restart the game. All youo had to do was play the song. Which was doubly useful, because if you screwed something up, all you had to do was play the song to get a fresh start. But of course, the game failed because it tried something new. Then came Windwaker. I started it with the same attitude I started Ocarina of Time with. I ended up with the same disappointment. Link to the Past in 3D with a sailboat. Wow. Some innovation that is. Until the Zelda series moves to a new company, I shall ignore it the same way I ignore the vast majority of the other crap that's getting released these days.

I must say, I haven't played many of them, but the one that I have played that came off as the worst was Link's Awakening. Not a bad game, really, but in one of the tower areas (can't remember what it's called, nyah), there is a ball you must pick up and throw at the support pillars. If you miss, the ball lands in spikes. You can't walk on spikes without damage, and every time you take damage you flinch, so it is physically impossible to get the ball again. And zoning to another room didn't work, completely leaving the tower and returning didn't work, and saving+resetting didn't work. I know it could have been made easier by saving before that part, but I unfortunately didn't know about it the first time, and ended up accidentally saving over my file, so I had to start all over. >_< FrustrationxInfinity.

Definitely the cd ones! The ones with the cartoon cutscenes. Those were pathetic! They didn't even act like Zelda.

I think every game has it best and weaknesses but all of the games from zelda are well made so i dont think any of the games are worst than the other in fact every game is based on how u really spent time all have desame mechanics however if u seriously think about many will say worse to one of the oldest games beacause every generation have a difference occuring to this i think zelda games are well rounded and fun to play with

Zelda II. I really didn't like the departure to side scrolling dungeons in this game. Moving back and forth between up top and side view really takes you out of the game.

I was highly disappointed by Wind Waker, cell-shaded graphics are not the best thing nintendo could have done with the gamecube's power.

You have to look beyond the graphics. Wind Waker is among the best Zelda's in my opinion, though still not in OOT's league.Anyways, Link's adventure was the worst IMO.

Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link was probably the worst Zelda game in my opinion, since everything that was good in the original, was suddenly changed in the second.
