they're both sweet games. GTA has sweet cars and mission, nice selection of guns, and its a long game. godfather has a nice fighting systems, good storyline, and some pretty kewl weapons, it makes u feel like ur a mobster.

the godfather has a strong storyline considering the film was one of the most famous mafia/gangster movie 
but gameplay wise its kinda like apoor rip of from the GTA series and add some of everything into it the story its SUPER good but the gameplay just din make it i enjoy the godfather because besides the game mafia not or maybe mademan not much mafia based storyline game out there that let u roam around freely and act like the GTA style of playing but still unless u are a fan u will probably find the godfather game lacking a lot of originality pretty fast .

GTA, Rockstar is great, the godfather wasnt very good, Scarface was better

Id go for the Godfather, th first one I.E. the good one, because of a lot of things, GTA had missions which i don't like to do and they made you do them repetitively, of course im not so critical to downgrade the gaming experience. I love GTA and its incredibly fun, but the Godfather has a different taste to it. I ejoyed building up your empire and one day being the Don of NY makes you feel like your really somebody out there, it may not change your gaming experience however. When it comes to GTA you play the last mission and its like nothing happenned. Nothing changed life goes on etc... but some people might enjoy that but i did not really go to that. And plus in the godfather you can take over warehouses and such and the targeting system in the Godfather gets an A+ in my opinion it was really sweet and the killing was really interactive. i mean GTA has a lot of weapons but people die the same way with a lot of them so thats why i liked the Godfather over GTA for now....i know GTA IV is going to blow our minds away
