Are Wii games on CDs? I thought they were on DVDs, as for emulators for wii I won't say it's impossible I'll just say it wouldn't function well.

I do not think it is going to happen, all because of the motion control.

true, but why others major company didn't make something like motion sensor of their own..i'm sure it will be fun if my mouse have motion capture ability, imagine playing counterstrike with left fingers controlling movement on keyboardsand right hand pointing mouse at monitor's rifle crosshair.. bang bang bangwhy is mouse are just mouse so serious and boring why don't add microphone in it or cellphone maybe? or shaving device >_<, come on logitech... just do it.

the controls are not a problem in the slightest.. it would mean you would need to have actual Wii controllers... the drivers are all out there for PC, and you can use them already.. GlovePIE is the name of it... you can even get profiles so you can use the wii controllers for n64 emu's, works a treat for mariokart64 and supermario64..its all just about breaking down the encryption on the hardware to figure out how it works properly, and having a pc powerful enough to translate all the instructions into PC speak as such.unlikely that it will ever happen.. just look at xbox, it basically was a PC, but no one has managed to get a emulator happening for that yet..

The only problem I see with it is having one hand on the mouse and the other pressing the keys, it might be a bit complicated.

It'll take many many years. IMHO, Emulation is dead after the gba. Disc games just don't play very well on emulators. You get me an emulator for the PS2 that's nice to my $500 computer, and I'll play it.

If you're going to build a computer that would be powerful enough to emulate a Wii (and that's assuming you have a good emulator) you might as well spend a small percentage of that money and buy a real wii, mod it, and get some games. You get the real thing, and for a lot less money and more stability.

Instead of motion detecting they could use the mouse.

Well, you wouldn't quite need motion sensing. The mouse would work quite well. And the graphics on the Wii aren't the best, so it would probably work better than the PS2 Emulator. Of course, making it would be hell.

I agree with the majority of the posters: A Wii emulator wouldn't have the charm of playing the actual thing. That said, I'm sure that some games would be fine in a button-only mode. Also, people with Bluetooth might use their Wii Remotes to interact with the emulator. My two cents.
