i think shining force is a good strategy game, but fire emblem has a better history, the charas are more human, in shining force the only emotional part of the charas is the HQ and the history is just u trying to stop the B.dragon for some unexplainable reason, fire emblem is better. ù_ú

Tell me if I'm wrong; I might be confusing two games, but....Isn't Shining Force an RPG? It's hard to directly compare an SRPG to an RPG. Although my vote goes to Fire Emblem. It's got that sexy Thracia.

Shining Force is really good. But Fire Emblem is still waay better, though I don't think you can compare the games since SF is an action game and FE is a strategy game.
i do remember one thing.
it took hours and hours but.
by the time i was done with it.
i was so involved. i didn't even know what to think.
i carried it around with me for days. and days.
playing little games.
like. not looking at it for a whole day.

two different types of games, both tops in there class
also, get the new gbasp with backlight, it's the best gameboy ever.

i played both and they are excellent maybe fire emblem is better but i think shining force in the gameplay is better than fire emblem

I prefer fire emblem because this series has support conversations.Plus, promotion in Fire Emblem doesn't makes your characters weaker as in Shining force

I think if Shining Force did not weaken your characters so much when being promoted, and character growth can be a bit different, then I would like that game as much as I enjoy FE
