ds lite is sooo mcuh better cuz of the brightness and the lightness of it. tho the original is more durableits ur choice

Well the DS Lite was actually cheaper than the old DS was a year ago. So its not like your paying alot more money for the lite. But there is no reason to choose the old ds over the lite. The lite is much better.

DS lite is better because stylus is much bigger than the old DS if I'm not mistaken.

Ok,1.) The lite has a built in lite in the screens and it's smaller and weighs less, ANVANTAGES!! MAJOR ADVANTAGES!! BUT!!2.) The Regular DS can play every game and all that just as well at the lite, Just not in the dark ^_^3.) The Regular Ds will never get any games the Lite wont4.) Visa Versa.5.) The Lite looks "cooler" because of it's small size,All in all there really is no choice besides, are you going to be playing in the dark? Can you lift more than 1.5 pounds? =PI personally would get the lite because i play all my stuff at nite time, but we can't make your decision for you.Also - The lite will ALWAYS cost more.

I think they don't sell Ds original anymore so buy lite, it has a better battery life and lots more!

The lite, mostly because it's less bulkier than the regular DS. It looks better and sleeker, and it seemed to have better image rendering than the regular one. But that's from memory, so I'm not too sure.

k well i think the ds lite is betterit is sleeker, brighter, smaller, and better designthe older ds has an awkward design and its biggerif u hav the old ds u'll hav a hard time buying accesories,the ds lite is better in just about everywayexcept the recharging system, i think it takes longer to charge

Goddamn, go with the Lite. I have a regular and couldn't find it in myself to pay more for a Lite so I'm left with this clunky junk. I love this thing though, November 22nd, one day after launch, sigh. The only problem with mine is a glitchy L button, so sad. I say go with the Lite, from what I see its a lot more eye pleasing screen and appearance wise.

Get the lite and new super mario brothers. The lite is brighter, and it's pretty much better. (in otherwords, think of the ps2 vs ps2 slim and add wifi and a keyboard kinda deal).A case is also really nice in general. I always keep my ds in a hard acrylic plastic case so you might as well just do so too to keep it safe.
