dude, lites ARE pretty cool. but make sure your carefull with it, as i posted elsewhere i have already had 2 friends who have broken theirs along the spine! so treat it well, or get a regular DS instead.

in the UK i think paying an extra £10 for a DSlite which gives you a smaller sexier looking DS, longer batery life and screen brightness that can blind you it is all so worth it in the end :)

I suggest the lite. It is much easier on the eyes, not to mention Lost in Blue is one of the best games on the system.

The second one is the best: Lite + New Super Mario Bros. DS. This game is one of the best for NDS if not the best. Its a classic, awesome. :)

I own both, and after playing the ds lite with the adjustable background. I would buy it unless you have a vers 5 or newer ds phat with adjustable backlight

Getting a Ds Lite is by far the best thing to do. It's a lot brighter, nicer looking, and not that much more expensive, if not the same price, depending where u buy it.

kk you havnt bought the ds yet have you... kkGo for the DS lite- firstly it is thinner, battery life is good, you got 4 light settings each takes mor or less energy of the battery depending which one light setting you use, thinner, brighter, lighter and has a stylus slotNormal DS- everything the same but thicker than liteDont worry that the DS Lite will break because its thin because the DS would break too all you have to be is delicate when opening both Ds's (open slowly untilyou hear click) cuz the hindge will break off. So all i say take the DS lite cuz its a later releaseyou were lik me but i researched my stuff but i found a great offer at toys r us i got a DS Lite-black with sonic rush and Mario Kard Ds and a starter kit (consists of 3 stylus, protector screen-you would need one cuz the screen would easily get scratch by the stylus and finger prints would easily pcik up, a cloth to wipe your ds screen clean and the whole ds if you have finger marks on the DS and a bag thing for the ds to go in) all for £120-£124 and i got this offer from toys 'r' us my sis works there she got it me. i got my ds lite on a Friday and got a really good offer for two good games and a starter pack.I forgot you get automatically 2 stylus with your DS-Lite one in the stylus slot and another in the DS box which you would find in a plastic bag type thing so you would have 5 stylus just incase you loose some or brake it dunno if you can do that but i dont think ill loose any stylus but thats for me just incase.Hope i helped you alot thats all my advice from experience lol.

honestly, it really doesn't matterIN FACTthe size comparison of the old DS is EXACTLY the same length and width as a regular GBA (although the depth is an issue)however, you can still put it in your pocket (b/c I have carried it around)HOWEVER, you should still buy the DS lite. Light weight, plus it's a bit more compact

DS Lite because it is lighter, shiny-er and of course, the screens are brighter.

I had an original DS, liked it, sold it after a while, and just recently bought a new DS lite. I like the DS lite... though I do NOT like the outside of the DSlite as its polished and really easy to get smudgy fingerprints on, and im easily annoyed by stuff like that =P

The Lite is more clear, smaller so that it actually fits well in your pocket, and just looks plain sexier. Worth it.

While I am easily annoyed with the smudges on the outside of the Lite as Mcduck87 has pointed out, the Lite is the better route. When deciding on the system I borrowed a regular DS from a buddy and played it -- it was way too large for my hands and made some things awkward -- like holding the system up with my left hand and using the stylus with my right. I tried a DS Lite from another friend and fell in love. It's lightweight, easy to handle, nice screen brightness (and it's adjustable) ... and it feels nicer in my hands.

The four brighter screen options are awesome, and even the lowest option is already brighter than the original. :x
