I hate that the majority of Final Fantasy players are so basic. FF8 has an excellent epic story I agree the gameplay leaves a little to be desired but the characters are excellent. It's like you dont play for the story just the gameplay and I dont see the point in playin ff games for the gameplay alone, because its very slow its the story I play them for and its the stories they create that makes it an excellent series. I'm sick of this hatin imo its the best story of all of them ff7 is also a great story and besides the worst FF game in the world is X-2 and any1 who wants to contest this is tasteless.

Technically, FFXI since it's so out of place in the series. But FFIX wasn't so great either.And seriously, FFXIII was a pretty good game. I don't see why so many people dislike it.

I'd say FF X-2, mindless story, boring characters and while I was playing it I felt like I was surrounded by 12 year old girls...FF7 is a runner up for me just because of all the hype around it. It wasnt a bad game overall but it definately didnt deserve all the praise it received, cliche story with just enough twists to keep you interested.

The first Final Fantasy was the worst one in my opinion. The story wasn't all that great, and the system they had for spell casting made me want to break my GBA. I have no idea why they port it so much..

The WORST FF game ever had to be X-2. 11 was and IS my game of choice next to 7. And X-2 was just a dolled up kiddy version of 5. It was a waste of time and remains to this day the only game i have NEVER beaten.

Having played every FF game every released I liked almost all of them differently. I must say I didn't enjoy the following in particularFFTA - nothing like FFT which was the best FF game made to date.FFX-2 - What happened. I think X-2 is the worst the FF series was good up till X then when they added the whole girl team save the world squad... well you get the picture.

i agree that FF X2 was the worst final fantasy game, but it wasnt a bad rpg. it was fun, it just didnt follow thru with the other final fantasy threads.

It has to be Final Fantasy XI. I was so disappointed about the entire online feature! I prefer a character-driven RPG, not a massive online "community."

You kidding? You guys are looking too forward! FF1 is so bad. The fighting system wouldn't even make sense for the programmers, the graphics are from the stone age, and the story sounds like some pothead rambling. This game is so bad it makes me have a headache. Some people call it a masterpiece. I call it HELL.
