Link is one of the greatest characters in Nintendo history. of course he's the best in Legend of Zelda.

Link is the obvious answer, but besides him I would have to say Ganondorf. Majora's Mask was a great Legend of Zelda game. We got to BE Link, Deku Link, Goron Link, and Zora Link. And if you got all the masks, you got the Fierce Deity Mask and could become Oni Link! Although all the LoZ characters are pretty cool.

I'd have to go with Link. I especially love what they did to his look in his recent appearance. (LoZ TP & SSBB) He just looks so badass. Also I find Ganandorf much better than his older versions.Zelda is sexier :facepalm:But my vote goes to Link.Love that Zora Suit!

I voted princess zelda but actually i wanted to vote for sheik but since zelda transforms into shiek, i picked her. Sheik just owns in SSB. not many characters is able to give nearly 100% damage is just like 10-20secs after the character they are going to attack becomes ungodly. Just so you guys know, i'm a sheik fan

I...tolerate...most of the characters. They all have something I like about them and they all have something I don't. But one I have no quarrel with is Epona. 
She's a loyal and kind horse who doesn't say random annoying things. 
Like Navi. Hahaha.

As I had thought, Link would be the highest vote getter. He is the main character of every Zelda title, while Zelda, Ganandorf, etc are not. However, some of the characters from Ocarina of Time are quite memorable. This seems to be what this thread is about, since I don't see many characters listed from other Zelda games, such as the Gameboy versions, Majora's Mask, WindWaker and etc. Link is so memorable though, he guest appears in various other games, such as Super Smash Brothers and Soul Caliber, in which Link is the only Nintendo character to appear. He is truly a remarkable character, one that leaves an impact on those fortunate enough to play The Legend of Zelda. The Scholar
