I have heard that a lot of people go through a good amount of PS2s because they "break easily" I've had mine for about a year and a half and mine is ok, but how many PS2's have you gone through?

I have one of the 1st wave PS2's and it still works perfectly. I did have to send it in to Sony about a year and a half ago to get the laser in the console fixed. But I think as long as you take care of your stuff you shouldn't have to worry about them breaking.

I've gone through one so far. My first one was one of the originals and it worked perfectly fine until it fell off my tv. In retrospect that probably wasn't the best place to put it. Well anyway I have a slim one now and its still working good.

I've had only one till now, thought it seems to be getting problems v.v"Sometimes it makes weird noises, and it's like little rocks were balancing inside it.( The sounds are random )I noticed thatWhen that happened in SD! Vs Raw 2006, the Comentators and crowd sounds would go off, same happened for entrances, including music. When i played .hack//INFECTION, Kite would stop, and enemys would still kick my donkey. Now a new problem i'm getting is, after i put the game in the ps2, it loads, and the screen goes all black ( Before Playstation 2 appearing ) and comes back saying " Insert a Disk of PLaystation or Playstation 2 Format "I just Shutdown and turn it up and it's solved, continous resets won't work, besides wrecking the laser.Still works fine though..

I've had mine for about 5 years, I've had to open it once to clean the lens, and now I'd have to do it again to get it to work (but I don't think I'll even bother since I have other games to play now).

I have had my PS2 for about 3 years now, and it still works perfectly. I don't know how it could break.

I'm still on my first, and it's been about 3 years. It won't be breaking anytime soon, I hope.

my first PS2 was working fine till the cd driver got jammed, I tried fixing it but I just made it worse, and eventually It was broken beyond repair, so then I got a used one, and it didnt work, so I brought it back and got another one, so far this one is working fine except it wont play certain DVD's..... but its better then nothing I suppose.
