i beat my ps2 to a pulp with my tv remote and i fixed it ............ does that count as 1 or 2 ...

i bought mine from its first release from japan the year is 2001 model scph 1800 and its quite reliable though i replace its lense and modchip

I had one of the first to come to Edinburgh, but it started going mad after a few weeks coz my sis stole it and messed about with it. I kept it and it ran okay for a coupla years, where it suddenly died completely when i was playing Unlimited Saga I sent it to my mate so he could try to fix it, but when i went to see it a week later he had dismantled it, so that it worked, but somehow was in about 10 pieces connected by some wire-like stuff. I got a slimline a year ago, and that's still fine, so it's all good now.

I've gone through two, both purchased in 2k2 or earlier.First one completely crapped out on me, so I sold it to my brother friend (It read PS2 games only, and took up to 5 minutes to innitially read the disc.)Second one's collecting dust atm, 'cuz I'm too broke to send it in to Sony for repairs.NOTE:IF YOUR PS2 IS DEFECTIVE AND YOU BOUGHT IT SECOND HAND DO NOT TELL SONY! (That way, they'll fix it for freeeee!)

I have one of the first series PS2 and have never once had a problem with it, the AV cable in back sits a little loose but that's it. Just some air in a can and keep it away from drunk roomates

I went through two ps2s. first one broke because of alchol leak inside the lense. The second well stoped working. Didnt fighure out how that happend

Well, I still have the first kind, the huge big one, and it did not break yet. Even though I dropped it several times, it still worked fine. The only problem I have so far is sometimes, the screens darkens or reddens, but I think it might be the cord's problem. How do they break? And how are all of you so rich? 3 PS2s?? My mom wouldn't let me buy anything except candy, food, or drinks.
