I thought he got his brother or cousin to slice off the nine heads. I don't think any were immortal.I would love to take over this quiz, I've read the Iliad and there is a whole lot to quiz on that.

This is actually a tricky question, many people think the end of the the Iliad is the end of the Trojan War with the Trojan Horse and all that stuff. But the Iliad is only a single work in the Cycle of works about these events. The Iliad as all about "the anger of Achilles" and the work ends when his anger is finally resolved over the death of his friend Patroclus by getting revenge on Patroclus's killer Hector. The final event is Achilles returning Hector's body back to his father Priam for a proper funeral.

Ummm.... not quite. My question was really vague. I am asking the very last event that happened in the epic. Hint: read the last line of the poem.

In my Fagles translation of The Iliad, the last line is "And so they buried Hector, breaker of horses". So I guess the last event is the Trojans bury Hector lol.

Basically the entire plot of the Aeneid lol. He goes on a long journey eventually taking him to Italy, where he founds what will eventually become the Roman civilization (although Romulus and Remus found Rome proper).

Patroclus is the best friend of Achilles who is killed by Hector, because he was wearing Achilles's armor and people thought it was Achilles.

Zeus favored the Trojans because Themis asked him to; Achilles asked his mother Themis to ask Zeus.
