The ram expansion is needed to open pictures and other internet files. It comes with the nintendo browser game pack in the stores. If you are using an emulator you will need a slot 2 ram expansion to run the browser.

Not a big deal. Does not support flash so you can't go on sites like Youtube. But its still a pretty cool thing. They did a good job with it on the DS. The different ways of viewing pages and stuff is good for manga.

DS browser is a great app for taking on holiday, go to an internet cafe with wireless or some hotels have wireless internet and away you go, check your emails, update your blog... I struggled in Hong Kong cause all the internet places only had Chinese OS on their machines, but find a wireless connection and away you go. yeah its not superfast on the downloads, (similar to dial up) but I find the writing recognition a great way to email once you get the hang of it.

Will the browser work if i combined slot-1 CycloDS with slot-2 M3 lite? I heard that you can use a slot-1/slot-2 combination to run the browser, you just hafta store the browser on the slot-1. But I don't know what kind of combinations you can use.

If you ask me, the DS Browser is actually pretty useful. I don't know about the price in AUS, but I think it's worth the $35 in the US.But yeah, the browser is pretty slow, even though it comes with a memory expansion of a whole 4MB of RAM. Apparently, if you have some other slot-2 card with more RAM, you can get a patched version of the browser that loads pages a lot faster.

Yeah, some homebrew programs like DSLinux use the RAM expansion. I also heard that a SNES emulator for DS will be able to utilize it soon?
