I've always liked Metal Gear over the Splinter Cell games. I just get into the games more because I like the characters that are in the game.

I personally prefer the MGS series, but I have to admit that the Splinter Cell Series is the true stealth series. The reason I don't like Splinter Cell is because there's too much stealth involved, and you can't overpwer your foes head on. MGS is both stealth and action, and I like the fact that when there are five guys that spot you, you can hide behind a wall and tranquilize them in the head when they come by, rather than a possible automatic Mission Failure. But once again, Splinter Cell is the true stealth series.

they r both great in their own ways with splinter cells attention to detail and metal gears attention to destroying detail but if i had to ppick one it would hav to be metal gear

Splinter cell hands down. Metal Gear kinda blows. One reason i like Splinter cell better is because, Koonami states that Splinter cell is a knock off of Metal gear. I beg the differ, its nothing like Metal Gear. MG isn't even stealth as it claims to be!

Metal Gear, definately. Splinter cell might be more super spy oriented but, metal gear has it all, comedy, romance, exictment,......and CARDBOARD FREAKIN' BOXES!!!!!!!!!!

Has to be Splinter Cell!The game engine is far more user friendly and geared towards 'true' sneaking, rather than Metal Gears forced sneaking attempts using annoying camera angles.I still like Metal Gear games though, they have a nice quirkiness to them.But Splinter cell is like my favourite Xbox game - Thief: Deadly Shadows

i like both but splinter cell has more to do like lock picking hacking and cuting ppls but like i said i like both games ive played every metal gear up to date same with splinter cell but if i had to pick one id say splinter cell
