Dragon Quest 8 was really fun. I really don't like that oldschool random battle gameplay, but the huge explorable world and (finally!) good graphics for the series really elevated it for me and made it something I could get into. I was happy with my purchase.

i got the ability to fly and then i just couldnt play anymore. it was boring watching that horrible animation while i slaughtered the same crap over and over and over again. plus i couldnt stand the charector design. wayyyyy too cartoony.

Isnt "knight of xentar" one of dragon quest serie?? in that case, dragon quest is just a bad erotic rpg game???

Great graphics, the battle system was good fun, and the monsters were imaginative and well animated

I agree. Dragon Quest 8 was the gateway, for me, to all the other dragon quest series.

I really tried to like this game, but I can't seem to do it... I hate that they have a huge world to explore but every few steps u run into a battle

Great game. Not as good as DQ7 though, IMHO.
