I have been following the game and i'm trying to get more opinions on it all the time. I didn't know if anyone here plays it. From what i hear you have to be pretty dedicated to get anything out of it.

I bought it along with Oblivion when I got my 360 a few weeks ago. I don't like it at all. It's too difficult to get the hang of and if you don't use XBoX Live, it's boring. It also takes too much time to put into playing the campaigns, and often the directions given to you by the AI commander are too difficult to follow correctly. Also, the AI is stupid. All-in-all, the game is WAY overrated, at least in my opinion.

Yeah, i figured as much. Even though on paper the game sounds pretty awesome i am so busy these days that i can't commit to what sounds like the only fun part of this game.

I dont care what anyone says......or doesn't say.....I LOVE MECHS!!!!! therefore, chromehounds aint all that bad. the graphics are really good, and the gameplay is solid. It is, so far, the most intense action, next to steel battalion, and the reward system is good enough to make you wanna keep playing the levels over to attain them. and dont get me started with the custom potential.....anyway....multiplayer.....GOOD GAME!!!

The weapons are cool but I never got into the whole mech thing. I do recommend it if you like any of the mechwarrior stuff it is very clean and the scenery is great. Also the various types of mechs leave no end to making your own badA$$ creation.

You can make your own mech! Completely the way you want it and you unlock new parts by playing in the single mode.It takes way to long to give out orders to your teammates when you play commander though.I use a defender to combine good defence with excellent attack capability and I do enjoy to put on as much parts as i possibly can before the legs doesn't support the weight annymore, without using the heavy gunner legs <3

Too many people whine about the game being slow. You're using giant tanks of war, not sleek rocket powered mechs. That being said, after you finish the single player tutorial (8-10 hours of gameplay), jump online and find a squad to fight with. It get's pretty intense when you stare down another team of mechs, whether human or computer, online. Plus, you can build a mech however you want...you don't have to use a preset, and there's hundreds of parts! This is one of my favorite online games, you just need to be ready for slower, strategic combat as opposed to lightning fast explosions

the game is solid online, and in single player it isnt that bad, just very short. chromehounds is a total must-buy if you like mech games. theres a lot of strategic in-game things that go on, as well as a detailed hound construction process. the game focuses on realism, yes, so in some cases it may take you 2-3 minutes to get to the enemy's location. but then youll experience 2-3 minutes of actual fighting in what may be total chaos. buy it if you like mech games, especially if youre rocking live.

The multiplayer for Chromehounds is the biggest highlight. the single player campaign is seriously lacking, and the dreadful pace of the action, leaves a lot to be desired. I've seen clowns on unicycles move faster. I owned it for about 4 weeks, before trading it in for credit at GameCrazy.
