Yes and you get a small cut scene and, I think, a strength sphere if you do.

Actually, if you win the first game you "level up" your save point, which let you play blitzball anytime you want...

it is actually not very hard to win the very first blitzball game.. cause all you hafta do is do manual... swim around.. get lucky with endurance.. and sphereshot at pointblank.. save before you try because Doram and the other defender get very annoyin.. if u cant score within the first 5 minutes.. wakka can score too.. i scored with like a random hopeful shot and he made it

Yes, it IS in fact possible. If you're a really good Blitzball player, that is (Like me! ^^) . Having Jecht Shot helps a LOT. If you can get close to the other teams' goal, smack away the two defenders, (hope with all your might that it's just two, and not the whole f***ing team! Which happened all too often for me for comfort!) and then BAM! Away it goes! The goalie won't know what hit him. Or should I say, the goal behind him? ^^If you don't have Jecht Shot, then it's just like BigJon22 said, it just takes a little practice.

New to the site, hello people.But yeah, it is possible to win it. A litle difficult for me though. I won it my first try with manual control (cause I wanted to be smart and try it). I still don't dig blitzball, but it was fun.

It is possible to win that first game, though I did lose the first time going through the story.

the first blitzball game is a bit hard but if u can get at least one goal more than ur oponent then all u haff to do is go behind ur goal and then the other players will start to spin around and u just leave it till the timer is down.note: u should lure enemies to the other side of the court and then pass the ball to Tidus then do jecht shot easy enuff

ahaha it's easy. just swim around, passing the ball to your teammates to level them up. when the game's about to end, do the jecht shot and hope it scores haha

It is but it took me 4 or 5 tries the first time I did it to get it. x.xBut after that, you start picking up the game and it's easier to win. :3 If you replay the game you usually win that game the first or second try.If you win, you see the cutscene with a trophy instead of a blitzball, and you get a strength sphere.

Wanna know a really easy way to do it? Do this. In the first half, get the ball if you don't already have it, and spend the ENTIRE half of the game passing between Tidus and your other forward, the one with high pass (I think it's Letty.) This will give them TONS of EXP, and before half time is over, try to Jecht Shot them. In the second half, just go crazy on their asses, and play defensively once you have a few points, at least 2. Then play the passing game again, and you have it in the bag.

I think it would be awsome if a Blitzball game was made. Just BB. FF is good, and I also like Blitzball. But I cannot play both. What does everyone else think. Maybe we should petition.
