You've gotta be crazy. The main reason I even emulate games (I have a GBA) is for the amazing precision the keyboard gives me, and the freedom of choosing the key config. I want! My ability to speed run through games like Metroid is magnified x10 by the precision of a keyboard!

I want one, it would be so easier to control the characters besides I find attacking hard in some games like boktai but not MMZ its so easy.

I can type at a respectable pace, and keyboarding has always been inferior to a real controller - generally when you can't push certain keys at once without your computer beeping at you.I use an old Playstation controller with an adapter I got at Radio Shack. The lack of analog sticks on the controller actually feels more natural to me, but the adapter doesn't work to well with my DDR pad...

I wish my controller fit in my computer but it's old... or my computer is old. I saw someone modify a SNES controller to work in his computer. I thought that was cool.

I think its better either way, but it doesn't improve how to play using a controller. That's only what I think...

Absolutely! When I first discovered emulation eight or nine years ago, I used they keyboard. The only games that were practical to play were RPGs, and even those were tedious. Then a friend of mine recommended the Gravis Gamepad Pro. I like this controller a lot, because it is light and simple, without extra features like rumble pack that I don't use anyway. The Gravis Gamepad Pro is shaped like a PS1 controller and has the same buttons.

A controller would be nice, buts its probably not worth going out and getting if you dont even need one. Im fine with the keyboard anyways.

I didn't used to have a controller, and I tried playing the games with it after I got one for a PC game. It was very awkward and I found my coordination was best using the keyboard.

I can't seem to get mine to work. Visual Boy advance won't let me configure my buttons.

No, but I've been looking for a good PC controller for ages! Anybody know the best controller to play VBA, Genesis, and SNES games with? I've seen big clunky N64-style PC controllers at Wal-Mart for twenty bucks, but that obviously won't cut it for the simple games I love playing. I just want something very easy-to-use and inexpensive to play my games with.

I don't use a game controler and I don't really think I need it either. The keyboard works fine for me.
