Thats the only thing ruing the PS3 experience for me.

Yea, same here. I might just wait until the price comes down in a couple of years. That's if the price even comes down though.

The PS3 is crazy expensive because SONY used too much money actually making the PS3. Right now, people are guessing that games are going to be around 60, 70 dollars. Crazy

I don't find anything wrong with the price. I think its right, since I heard it costs over a thousand dollars to make just one.

Can't blame them. That thing outclasses a P4 PC. It had the power of a high end PC.

I think Sony is being a little piggish with their pricing but as they say it costs money to make a system like this but still 600 dollars no way!

Well im not fimalier with the PS3 but judging from what ive learned, id say the max retail price should be ~400 USD reasonabably. The PS2 only cost 200$, PSP 200$, so why should the PS3 be so expensive? But 600$? id rather by a new computer along with any PC version of any PS3 version of the games comming out

The price of the ps3 for me,is just too steep. I cant say if it's worth it or not because i havent played it nor do i know anything about the hardware being used.

I'll wait till the price drop too. 500-600 bucks are just too much. I think more people will buy WII than PS3 when they both come out.

I was never going to buy a PS3 at launch (since there are still so many good PS2 games), but the $600 price tag means I'll probably be waiting for several price drops before even considering getting one.

It would be ridiculous if you made a machine that costs over several hundred dollars and sell it for $50 now wouldn't it?

I am going to buy a ps3 but i am going to need a job but i also have to save for university (and a car) so i am not really sure. I have less than 2 years before i start university and my parents are going to pay for the first year but if a go to a university that is far i have to pay for living there. So i probably am going to wait till ps3 is cheaper.

I think the price of the PS3 is a bit steep. However, they are right when they say it costs more than $1000 to make. And that's the cost of its processor, the Cell, alone.

Ps2 was like 400CND when it first came out in Canada. Ps3 is around 700+ for the premium. I am for sure getting a ps3 no doubt. I just pobably won't be getting it right when it comes out.Give it a year or so when the price of it drops to the 400s i'll buy it then.
