i think feebas is better, if its rare then it has a purpose of being rare. Feebas evolves into a good pokemon that has more speed, more health points, and more defense. Gyrados is really weak against electric types milotic still has a chance.

Magicarp all the way because everyone mocks it and says oh look a silly little magicarp and then it randomly evolves and goes insane making the magicarp bullies eat their words or rather just be eaten.

I would prefer feebas because it evolves into milotic and i think milotic is stronger than a gyrados so i would pick feebas.

I'd say Magikarp is better.Gyarados has all that nostalgia from the First Gen. as the ultimate pwning water-dragon pokemon

if u dont consider their evolutions, then i'd say feebasbut in terms of their evolutions, magikarp since it evolves into the powerful gyrados!

Feebas is probably the better Pokemon (I remember trying for AGES to cath one of Saphire), but I'm old-school, so I'd have to say I'd prefer a Magicarp. Gyrados is just so much cooler than Milotic, and Milotics are a pain to evolve too.

I think Magikarp is better. Mainly because to me, Feebass looks like a block of spoiled swiss cheese with a black eye. Also I enjoy Magikarp's simplistic expression of "Derp" where he looks a little bit cuter than Feebas does.Plus not to mention Gyarados is beast.

I think Magikarp is better because it evolves Gyrados. Gyradose could totally blow Milotic out of the battle with Dragon Breath!

i think magicarp is better since gyrados can learn more moves from tm than milotic. besides feebas requires an item to evolve

For me, feebas. Gyarados is nice and all, can get bulky, and has intimidate as well as makes for one heck sweeper with proper set up, but milotics bulk was just so nice for gens 3 and 4. So many things it could come in on, and with proper stats, can even take a stabbed grass attack somewhat decently, plus if inflicted with a status, it gets a heck of a lot more bulky with marvel scale which means it could come in on a t-wave or a w-o-w and not be hurt that much, or just soak them and have a rest talk set.

Well, I like catching Feebas even though it is Very difficult. Compared to a magikarp i'd rather go fishing for a feebas

One thing to note is that at least prior to the 5th generation, Milotic works as an excellent check against enemy Gyarados, particularly with Hidden Power (Electric) or Haze. If Gyarados doesn't have Taunt, it doesn't stand a chance against a Milotic.Then again, raising a Magikarp into a Gyarados is a classic Pokemon challenge--and even as far as competitive battling is concerned, a Gyarados is one of the easiest Pokemon to obtain: Magikarp is one of the most common Pokemon ever and you never have to worry about missing egg moves. Feebas are a pain to find, a pain to raise and and enormous pain (in the 3rd and 4th generations) to evolve.Though it does annoy me that so many trainers in DPP seem to have caught onto the Magikarp-->Gyarados thing and enemy Gyarados are so common in those games that it's ridiculous.
I perfected this technique while under a rock.

I say Magicarp is signifigantly cooler!GPs were deducted for this post, please read the rules! - tedsb16I think feebas is the better pokemon, but it is harder to evolve because you need loads of Indigo or Blue pokeblocks and raise its beauty to MAX, and then raise a level. It is also one of the hardest non-legendary pokemon in the games, because you can only catch it in 6 tiles, but can change them too. It is also really good because it can learn decent TM's like water pulse and HM's like surf, and Magikarp learns NO TM/HM's.ONLY SENTENCES ALLOWED. NO ONE WORD/TWO WORD ETC PLEASE.

It really depends on what you want on your team, Feebas becomes a more Defencive Milotic upon evolution and Magikarp becomes a very powerful Offencive Gyarados upon evolution, so in all reality its just what you want on your team.

I still want to get a team of 6 lvl 100 magikarps and see how well they do in a tournament. Flail can do some real damage with low hp so i think theres some potential

Feebas Because when the evolve i think the mitolic is better than gyrados. so i would pick feebas over magickarp.

I think Feebas is better, because it is hard to find, but totally worth it. Magikarp is weak and overrated. You can actually use Feebas in battle before it evolves.
