Wavedash = YOU JUST GOT MINDGAMED, not really. Wavedash can be used to string together combo's and certain tricks to confuse you enemies. Although it is not necessarily needed it is used by many proffesional players and is considered by many to be a BASIC technique even to the average button masher. It only requires about 15 minutes of practice to players familiar with the Gamecube Controller (AS IN THEY OWN ONE) and can be easily accomplished by gamers who DON'T have a gamecube with minimal effort. Although it is quite hard to use it in your actual style of fighting if all you do is "SUPER CRAZY TEKKEN OMFG I JUST GOT OWNED" button smashing skill.

I use samus and I use the down+A in the air extensively. I am extremely good at smashing people into the abyss.

I use any attack that crosses my mind. As long as it works, thats a good enough techinque for me

ahha, I'm with this guy. I'm not a button masher (cant stand people who do that lol), but i don't sit around practicing techniques either. What ever move will get me through the match is good enough for me.

I'm not very good at using the special techniques, but I'm not very good at Smash Bros. in general. Still, I try to use the special moves whenever I can. They're really cool and a lot fun!

i mainly use the *C* stick..its relli powerful but it only works on vs. mode...also..with ness if you hit yourself with pk thunder then he will fly quite quickly in the direction you hit him..it will do decent damage to anyone he flies passed and is his only recovery move..

I can't wave dash very well. I depend on mostly counters and s with DK. I jump off, throw them and jump back on. Almost 100% chance to hit. WHen I am playing Fox, I just use shine alot. And laser. WHen I am playing really good people. I just button mash when I get close to them. I also use roy and marth's charge attack alot. Friends call me a cheap loser but as long as it works for me. I'm good

What exactly is "wave dashing" anyway? I didn't check throughly through all five pages of this thread, but yeah...[on topic:] I tend to pound with quicker and smash moves and then go camp in a spot that gives me an advantage XP

umm i dont really use it. i mean yeah it has its uses, but its rare to need to use it. its just something thats slightly faster than the shield roll. i dont play ssbm to a "pro" extent so i dont usually bother with it since it is sort of difficult to perform sometime and shield roll is a lot easier to execute.
