i only started playing ffVII (the psx version) on my psp, and i LOVE it. i have only played 1 and IV as well and they are all good, so i cant wait for a ff for psp

Yeah, Square kinda locked itself up when they didn't make a sequal to FF7 or any other continuation until many long years after. While they did have an outstanding comeback with FF7: AC, their plans went awry with Dirge of Cerberus, and will with Crisis Core. Crisis core will star Zack, but it isn't intended to be a full game. Current plans of it are to release it as a java or flash based game to cell phones =(.

You know, I never used to be interested in the Final Fantasy series.However, when the Pops emulator was hacked on 3.03OE, I started playing FF7.25 hours in and I'm super hyped about Crisis Core.

well, basically Crisis Core will tell the story of Zack. thus, how can they tell Zack's story if Zack wasn't the main charac?

They probably were able 2 make the story of zack by making it up but using small elements from the main FF7 story, just like advent children, there wasn't supposed 2 b a sequel yet they made a few

What is the real story behind Zack anyway? (My ff7 froze up on the first disk...) I know he was clouds friend, both in SOLDIER. Killed himself to save him... anything about his background? =\

actually, i'll have to disagree with you on the storyline part. at least, in my opnion, Final Fantasy 7 doesn't have the best storyline. In fact, Final FAntasy 7 was quite overated. yes, it broke the standards of graphics and even exceeded it, but it took a bit backwards turn in gameplay. story was good, but still not exactly the best in many opinions.still, i can't wait but to be excited about Crisis Core. seems like a good game

Havnt they allready made a newer ffvii game playing as vince?Is it just me who think square should stop making ffvii games?I mean, if the ffvii game/story was so damn good why make new games/stories around it?

Yeah, Zack Fair will be the character for Crisis Core: FF7, and it makes sense considering its the prequel to the original FF7. Plus, more info on genesis = awesome, then when FF7 comes out on ps3, even more awesomeness !! Ok got side tracked there, but yeah, Zack Fair in CC:FF7 will own !!! Also, Cloud will still be there anyways ;]

If you want to learn more about zack you can try watching FFVII the last order i think. it explains what happens to him and cloud if you didn;t beat the game. try looking it up. I'm interested in the game cuz i'm curious about project G. In Dirge he just appears outta no where.

the problem is, in Last Order, it's been said he got killed. this is also apprent in Advent Children when Cloud puts the Buster Sword in the desert and says he's only living because he [Zack] would have wanted him to do. however, apprently u CAN find Zack in Final Fantasy VII, indicating he's not dead. i've heard rumours that he's the injured man in the slums that was moaning and groaning, but i don't have my game with me so i'm not sure whether i remember it coorectly...

IIRC, i think the main is Zackim not sure but.
