Battle Network is over, Megaman X and Zero are the only ones left now. But, Sonic, Mario, Zelda and Metroid haven't died yet. And they are some of the oldest like Megaman.

if he were to die, it would probably be in the coming age of a new era, meaning the birth of his successor, yet, no matter how many attempts capcom can salvage, THE megaman cannot be replaced

Megaman is pretty popular so I think he will be around for awhile longer BUT not forever. Everything dies you know. But megaman and other nintendo icons are probably going to be around for a while longer. Just as long as he stays away from big holes and spikes he will be OK

Megaman... If he dies, the world will come to an end sometime this tuesday...maybe not, but his games are cool. I play Blue moon when I have nothing better to do. Megaman's going to be around for a long, long, long, long, looooooooooong time. Not forever but a good long time.

In all likelyhood, megaman will never die for REAL, but they'll make situation where he dies and comes back somehow. He'll probably die for real after he gets unpopular.

i think that the post was made more about the franchise than megaman himself, lol. but as many people have already said, the end is inevitable... but megaman will just keep on coming even after his "official death" because all the fans will keep on making their own games and spinoffs, etc. and technically if you are talking about megaman himself and not the franchise, megaman has literally died many many times, yet he is remade again and again, and when people get too lazy to make him another body then he just turns into a ghost thing (cyber elf maybe?) and possesses computers and things just so he can throw swords at zero (lol MMZ 1 referencei think megaman will neva die he got thjat hub batch program with him n he also got lan by his side o n if u r tslking about megaman zero series ............. he died a long time ago
) and now megaman isnt even in the next game (megaman zx) unless he isnt a major character at all cuz they dont show him in any previews or trailers, but instead a couple of human kids get this thing called "live metal", i think thats what its called, and then they get the armor of X, Zero, Fefnir, Leviathan, Harpuia, Shadow, maybe more, and they can even combine 2 of the armors to make an even cooler one (this one made me laugh, if you combine the megaman x and the zero armor guess what you get... come on guess... if you got it then congratz if not then.. its megaman zero from the mmz series! lol i love it)

I doubt he ever will. I suppose this is like asking if Mario or Sonic will die. He's a fan favorite, and each iteration of MM brings in the dollars.Should he be about 230 years old in game time?

Technically, no. However, I feel that it may become something completely unrecognizible by the end. Picture this: They made "Megaman X" because "it was cooler! It's the next step!" Megaman has received multiple revisions and changes. I mean, he started off as a humanoid robot in blue tights fighting an albert einstein clone for god-sakes. Now, he's been a computer program, advanced warrior 100 years later, a red robot with blonde hair 200 years later, and now that ZX is comming out, from what I understand, it shares very litle, if anything along the storyline of MMZ that it had evolved to. I mean, look at Zero in MMZ. Very different, and more of a stylish and more anime look.I have a feeling that MM will merely continue to evolve and change, until it is almost completely unrecognizible, with new charicters, phasing old ones out, and new storylines that are way so different. Well, at least that's my theory, anyways. Anything that's successful does'nt die as it is, not normally anyways. It just gets revamped. People either get tired of it, or is just simply changes, slowly, into something else. I mean, they eliminated Sonic, and brought in a new, more "Bad Azz" hedgehog, then gave him a fricken pistol for Kria's sake. I mean WTF is up with that? Megaman will probably just keep receiving new trends, new updates to his fashion, and new freinds, until he gets replaced by a cooler charicter. Hell, they probably tried to even do that with the MMZ series.ive grown up with megamna and i would be haert broken but do u think megaman will ver die?
