I think Tails is the best, because he can fly 
(someone told me he was a girl but i don't know..so i'll just call him a male) and his inventions are cool especially the plane *drools*

Tails hands down. He's so underapreciated when he can fly thoguh not far. And when he runs and spins his tails for speed, he's faster than Sonic.
