i got my ps2 a month or so after it came out right after i got the ps1. 
kind of a waste on the ps1. oh well

My dad bought it for me two years after it was released. I think he bought it off of someone else. It was a bargain (at least I thought) at $180 with three games. And it's second generation I believe, since it doesn't have any of the disc read problems that the first generations of machines are having.

I missed an overnight field trip in the 5th grade because of the flu. My mom felt sorry for me. In retrospect, the PS2 has served me a lot better.

got mine in the black market of my country.. plz.. don't tell anyone... ha ha ha ..that's true bro! mine's from the black market of consoles... you can have any ps2 for half his price and ready to play anything!

This will sound strange, but I purchased my PS2 for $200 at a clothing store (The store was Goodwill). I know it sounds weird, but I saw it in a display case at the front desk.

I bought mine from an Electronics Boutique. This is also the same place that I go to for all of my PS2 games since I can normally find rare games there.
