ive caught missingno in both blue and chystal and nothin happend to my blue version but i had to resest my chystal version tho

Missingno is a mystery that has recently been mostly been solved. If you look around on Wikipedia, or google the "Mew Glitch", you can easily read up on it.Most players abused it, as it gave you like 139 replicas of whatever item was in your sixth slot. (had something to do with where they stored your name values when you watch the Old Man battle)As for the types of Missingno, I believe there were four to five.The first was the tower of blocks, the most common.The second and third were the fossils and resembled the fossilized pokemon as seen in the museum.The fourth was the ghost you met in the Ghost Tower without a Silph Scope.The final was M' block. This was the dangerous one. You could reasonably safely catch all the other Missingnos without much corruption, however M' was deadly.

I caught it several times, and it screwed up all the avatars. I suggest that you don't even try to get MissingNo. If you do, don't catch it; it can corrupt your game, and in some cases, you won't even be able to start a new one since the whole cartridge is corrupted. Yep, that means you need to buy a new one...if there's even one of course.

when i caught missingno my game got all messed up and i actually caught him a couple of times(every time i started a new game) and often it would result in my game being erased -_-

MissingNo can become a new pokemon if u name it that pokemon its only some pokemons though and i think missingno can learn all attacks

I got two forms: M and MissingNo. MissingNo usually screwed up my graphics (pokemon become flip flopped, etc) and sounds. But the cool thing about M was that it didnt do anything, and i could catch it multiple times (2nd time it was a ditto

to be honest i only ever encountered it doin the rare candy cheat-using the glitch to multiply slot 6 in pack to 128.i've no idea why you'd want to catch it-it only ever did watergun on me and it looks stupid too. occaisonly it'd appear as whatever i'd last attempted to catch at the safari park though

yup your game stuffs up if you try to fight the elite four. if you do fight them, just deliberately die and release it.

i ve caught him...different things happen on different versions.. on crystal it lets u have 12 pkmn instead of 6 and on y/r/b ur guy screws up and on g/s the sprits (characters) screw up but missingno''s attacks are sweet, theres also a glitch with him if u catch him then realse him and then catch him again he will use tms as attacks

I managed to catch it, only problem I ended up having was colour inversion, but only in certain places. I never manged to pin down the problem to anything but missingno

My brother caught missingno on his old GBC, on Pokemon red, nothing bad happened, but all the other kids in my class who caught missingno had their saved games completely messed up and they had to start again.
