Because they believed his incredible* speed would make him too cheap.*not veryI think the biggest problem about pichu was his lack of strength and good ranged attacks.i dont like pichu myself. why did the creators of the game make it so he does damage on himself?

i liked pichu. sure, he wasn't the best, but i thought he was fun to play as. i like the self-destructive bit too =)

I mainly used him as a challenge. If I knew I was better than those that I was playing against, I'd use the character so I'd recieve damage while dishing it out.

Pichu! I Hated Using Him! so freakin' pointless! the only times i used him were when i absolutely had to, the the events, and once for classic, adventure, and allstar modes. that was it.

i have to agree, it is terrable for battles. And it doesn't evolve untill you have full happy, wich can take forever. Its still cute though!

i dont know pichu wasnt that bad he was really fast and most of his attacks were high damage he was at least better than mewtwo

I like Pichu but I was never very good with him. I was better with Pikachu. One of my friends is REALLY good with Pichu though so props to him I guess.

Pichu deserves a better tier than Pikachu. It's just that no one but Marth, Fox, or Shiek are used in tournies.

Yes you are right it is the worst player in the game but is also the smallest so it therfore it is the weakestI hate that little thing, you get damage to yourself when you attack! WORST character in the game. >:[
