Untill MGS3 i didnt think Ocelot was such a complex character, He virtually had little to no history (why was he part of Outer Heaven, what had set him off?, where did he get the skills? and why such a harden hatred towards Solid Snake and the United States?) For that last one i think because Solid Snake resembles Naked Snake( Big Boss) more than the other two and Naked Snake had killed his( Ocelots') mother( Boss) and then( Snake) turned his back on the country Boss had died for. This may have had Ocelot turn to the one man who had at least understood what was really going on behind the scenes. Now this really doesnt make any sense but Ocelot may have become confused and was seeking some sort of closure( why did his last mission go so pear shaped?) which finally led him to seek out Big Boss and confront the man who had caused such a mess of his life and demand answers.It may have been till after the end of that mission that Ocelot learned of his background and had some sort of breakdown.BUT, all this could be another ruse implicated by the CIA and my understanding of the history could just be blown away by some new plot twist MGS4.To me Ocelot is a dark and formidable enigma with a rich history.

Wait a minute, isn't Ocelot the son of Boss? Is the "Naked Snake had killed his mother" part your way of saying she's his actual mother or to him was like a mother?anyway, Snake is definitely my favorite. but i did like The End for one reason: he gave me the best boss fight that i had in an MGS game for a while.For that last one i think because Solid Snake resembles Naked Snake( Big Boss) more than the other two and Naked Snake had killed his mother( Boss) and then turned his back on the country Boss had died for.

Solid snake is the best game character EVER in my opinion. He is just very cool and taciturn and always get the job done. Noone can beat him. Even when he get captured he still comes out on top. Snake will always be Number 1.

Ok. So my rather large rant about Ocelot seems to have confused a couple of people So I'll just clear some things up alright.Boss: Ocelots biological mother and a mother figure for Snake.So it doesnt really matter which way you look at they both lost some-one and that had a huge impact on their mental states.

No one can beat snake. he can destroy Metal Gears around the worldand he beat liqiud and his father and a helicopter A HELICOPTER WITH ROCKETS AIMIMNG AT YOU.

even though snakes own i have to go with the ninjas of mgs. i just love swords over guns. lol no raiden sporting that cool looking suit for mgs4 i might change my mind about him.

Snake is ace and has been put in the new super smash brothers brawl which is awsome to boot but i like ninja in the first one and it sucks that they didnt have a proto type in 3 but Raiden is the new one in 4 and sorry to the ppl that didnt know that Give it up for Gray Fox

Up untill the third game my favorite was always snake, but when they introduced all of the history around Ocelot he jumped up my list a lot, and Raiden in MGS4 looks SUPER bad donkey so he might take the spot, but for now, snake rules all

Snake, specifically Snake Sr.Naked Snake is the ultimate super soldier (nuts to you, Captain America). Solid needs to eat a whole lot of instant noodles before he can even come close to Naked's level.
