I use the PS2 since it's a great two-in-one and saves space in the dorms. Also it can charge IPods, which is uber-handy for college.

my ps2 is firstly a games console and then a dvd/cd player. but the fact that you can play dvds and cds made me choose it over a gamecube.

Actually, I use my PC with headphones while my daughter watches Leap Frog DVDs on the TV with my PS2. Well, used to. My dad complained about not being able to figure it out (he could never find the on/off switch since he's so used to NES and power buttons on the front) so he bought a VCR/DVD player combo. *shrug*

This is gonna be complicated.I got a PS2, and used it for both games and DVDs.But then the DVD player started to fail, so I got a DVD player for christmas. Then, there was the accident (broke my PS2)So I got a new one, and used that for DVDs.But now this one is failing on me too, so I'm using the DVD player that is embedded in my television set.

I use my ps2 for every-thing hence you can also put a hard drive in it & copy games onto it & just use the hard drive, :), the old ps2 is a good system to do every-thing on it, but the slim-ps2, just games/movies, :)

I use a DVD player since I'd rather not work the PS2 motor more than I have to.

I use the PS2 just because it's convenient, despite the fact that the volume from it's reallllyyy low.

I have a dvd player but it takes up way more room than the ps2, so logically i use the ps2 for my gaming AND movie pleasure. :)

I can't say that I actually own a PS2, but if I did have one I'd probably use it for playing DVDs as well. Either that, or my laptop. Y'know, the one with the built in DVD burner? Yeah...
