Graphics dont play a huge rold with me, as long as the games A. fun system to mess with or B. has a good storyline. Thus why im playing galerians ash, and man, is that game fugly.

Just like the FF Series.I loved FFX storyline ._."Spoilers @_@I hated it when Tidus dissappeared </3

Graphics in games are neccecary to beautify the gameplay, but the most important to a game is the actual gameplay and story, even if a game have the best graphics it can never be a match for a game which has the best gameplay and story even if the graphics fall out.

No, not necessarily because if the game has only good looks and lacks a plot or gameplay then, there is no point in the game having the excellent graphics in the 1st place.

I think Story is much more important than graphics in a game..

If good graphics meant a good game, then that would make most modern PC games and most games on the newest systems awesome.... but they aren't, because the gameplay is usually crap. They have sacrificed gameplay for graphics because graphics sell. Video gaming in general has not been as great just because of that.

No, if the only good aspect of the game is graphics, then it isnt a good game. You should base the game with it's graphics, sound, gameplay, and story.

No way. Atari games are great and have so "trash" graphics.Look Rumble Roses and Tekken 4/5. I only play these games to play with the girls, only because they are detailed. Only.

I think its a sign of a really poor personality if you cant play a game because it has "bad graphics" I have a friend that wont play ANY of the old Zelda games (windwaker backwards) because he says thy have bad graphics.

I think graphics really help and might intially get you really interested in the game, but after awhile the awe of the graphics will fade and the game will be judged for its gameplay.

Some games with crappy graphics, such as Red Alert 2 have the best gameplay imaginable.I mean, look at Doom 1. It's crappy, the fist looks like he's shoving his finger through their throats, and the possessed Marines have green hair and red eyes, I still play it for fun.Other games though, like Chaos Theory, just lack in Substance.

Need to find a balance. I agree though.. all too often games are coming out that are visually stunning.. but have pathetic storylines. Personally... I far prefer Asian game developers --> SquareEnix/Konami/Nintedno etc. because they have the great ability to find the mean between. In fact... their games have the best of both worlds: amazing graphics AND great storylines...

good graphics are nice but not essential.Gameplay IS essential....theres no point having a nice looking game if nobody wants to see it anyway

I believe that if you have rediculously good graphics that you have a very high chance of being a good game, now games like Kameo have good graphics but terrible gameplaySo in short I believe that Good graphics DEFINETELY give you ups but you still need some gameplay to back that up

not one factor makes a game good.its all about the audience first. their view of whats "cool" and whats popular.quality of the game matters most.entertainmentgraphics just apply a more realistic factor, that makes people feel more like EA's popular theme "it's in the game"people like reality (just look at tv now)

probably one of the biggest misconceptions people have today.person 1: i like this game it is really funperson 2: THE GRAPHICS SUCK IT IS A BAD GAMEno matter how pretty something looks, the content is the deciding factor.. for instance games like DEFCON which have graphics which could be from the 80's, but is really popular because of its unique gameplay

It has to be balanced. A game can have the best graphics in the world but it still has to be fun.
