I think that good graphics are rather important, but not so important till the storyline doesn't matter, so yeah unless the game is supposed to be a mindless shootout kinda thing, I still think the storyline is more important.

Sometimes the gameplay was the most important aspect of game than graphics.

Some of the best games have terrible graphics. Super Nintendo. Nintendo...I mean, look at the original Mario Bros. that game was awesome, but the graphics sucked. You can't go wrong with the classics. Some of the newer games, all they have is good graphics, and even then, all they are is 30-hour long cinematics scenes.

gameplay and the length of the game are more important, cos some of the newer games have great graphics but only take a day or two to finish

I think that the graphic helps to make the game better but if storyline is stupid, I will not play the game, that's why I still play my old megadrive games and nintendo, those were the best.

You have no idea what the real me can be like.

Graphics only have a small part in making the game a game. What truely makes a game a game is the gameplay, innovation, storyline and overall fun factor. In other words, the only thing next-gen about the X-Box 360 and PS3 are their graphics.

Truely you don't need good graphics to have a good game... although it is a plus... however text-based games can be just as fun, depends on thier creativity

Graphics are not all that counts in a game. If you cant control your character smoothly or accurately, theres no point in playing.

It'll take more than just the decorative stuff to make a good game. I takes gameplay, a great plot, and an excellent storyline to make these good graphics and sounds work.

I think it being a good game matters the most. But I guess I'd be considered old school...

Graphics are a good starting point for a good game... but old games on NES, Genesis and SNES was great didn't have big... good... fluid graphics like now.

i think a good game depends mainly on the gameplay and storyline. but, what makes it even better is great graphics and sound. so, graphics is to further improve the gaming experience.

I think as long as the story line is good, and the characters are like-able, or you can relate to them, the graphics are secondary!

No, I think that you put out a very good point. Why play a graphically advanced game if the gameplay and all that sucks?
