Well, when one steps back for a moment and looks at the two gameplay types, they are near the same, aside from a bit more choice in the RPG games.Although I like the amount of freedom, I guess one would call it, in the RPGs, I personally prefer the action set up. But that's because I like more or less twitch based game play. Now, if they made a fully 3D Megaman RPG with the amount of enemies there are in the action versions, now that would be fun.

well.. the mmbn tends to get slow, boring, and childish (talk about pretty lame sidequests..)how ever the action based platforming oldschool.. is starting to get outdated.. the megaman legends could've been able to provide both action and rpg.. but it kinda fell short onmost expectations.. (monkey macarena says what? huh?)hopefully they'll be able to come up with a decent one like..*warning: daydream sequence*-an action/rpg with multiple customizable characters...ie: megaman, zero, bass, and roll, (maybe even tron bonne)-old school stories stemming from the original series (with some wicked twists)-in-game story using the mmbn perspective.. however it changes back to the originalplatform gamer when you jack in to cyberspace.. which is huge and complex (gameplay like castlevania)-and tons of kick-donkey bosses and really cool battle system...hehehe... *drools*

Action, MMZ is a perfect example. Although in some cases (as with megaman legends) action-rpg elements are fun as well. The EXE. titles are actually pretty fun too.

i like action as well as rpg but, i think rpg suits me better!

i like a combination of the two (ie. battle network series) but if i had to choose id say action like the originals

I think MMBN is good. It has many function like beastout, style change, or soul unite. The whole armour are change and look very different.

I always liked the side-scroller Megaman games, but my favorite game type was always RPG. I don't think it's inconsistent that the Megaman series added a line of RPGs; think of all the variety other series have, such as Mario. I love the Battle Network series.

i like the oldfashion megaman but around a year ago i started playing battle network and i really got addicted so i think it depends if u like rpg better or action games.

Will i played both but when i was playing BN then i just get bored very quickly but games like Megaman Z keeps me going so i will choose action in megaman than RPG and i disliked the show of megaman BN very much too.

got to love the action icant get to into the netbattle thing....but i does have an amazing fanbase so its got to be good somehow, i just hate having to wait my turn to blast some robot scoundrel into oblivion

I have most Megaman games orriginal even teh NES and SNES games and still play them with a good feeling so I like both versions and they can't be compaired the one is a side scroller and the other one Action/RPGWhen it says Megaman it's a ok in my book

i liked all of the games until command mission and Mega Man X 7. and well theres battle chip challenge, that kinda sucked too...
