It's great if one would like a cheap Blu Ray player RIGHT NOW, but I think I'll wait until it comes out with some games that are...well...interesting.

I'm bankin on the PS3, personally. Sony coulnd't have mishandled this thing any worse right out of the gate, but I think with all of the bashing in the media, the capabilities of this console have gone unnoticed. The one thing that could change my mind on this is if Sony loses MGS4 to Microsoft. In that event, the PS3s will be sharing a landfill somewhere with unsold copies of E.T.

Currently it depends cause there aren't many good PS3 games. Maybe in the future it'll be more worth it.

Being fairly neutral in the console wars, I'd say that as of now, the PS3's price tag cannot yet justify all the features it has. However, I can easily imagine it overtaking the other two consoles if Blu-Ray development is well-accepted and the PS3 drops in price, so eventually the PS3 will be worth it.

I played a PS3 recently and I have to say- What is all the fuss about? The game I played was Motorstorm and I was very disappointed by it. Yes, the graphics are quite flashy but no way are they amazing and the gameplay is the same as anything I've seen before on PS2. I think Sony are asking way too much for the PS3 and if this is all they can come up with then they might as well not bother.

In a year it's worth it, right now there aren't any good titles for it. And there are hardly any Blu-ray releases yet.

i WILL buy it WHEN i get the money.it is worth it. with the Xbox you have to get a seprate HD DVD player thing, but with PS3 you get the Blu-ray player built in.the only good think about the xbox is xbox live, you can watch tv shows and movies, but that is only avalible in the US (we dont get it here in the UK).AsrarQ

You've pointed out a good point about the XBOX 360, and a bad point about the PS3. I'd much rather have a separate drive to play DVDs on. Playing DVDs is taxing on a DVD-ROM drive. Why would I want to waste my video game playing drive, watching DVDs? The PS2 was notoriously bad for it's DVD-ROM drive breaking down because people played DVDs in it. The separate drive is not this huge monstrosity that everyone makes it out to be.Someone else brilliantly posted that GoW will be exclusive to the PS3...Why? Is this just some sick joke Epic is playing on us? "Let's give XBOX 360 GoW 1, PS3 GoW 2, and the Wii GoW3." Don't think so dude. If anything, it would be multi-platform, and I don't see that happening anyway. One of the reasons the PS3 is losing exclusives is because 1) nobody wants a PS3, except Sony fanboys. It's too overpriced, and you actually get better quality graphics on the XBOX 360. 2) It's ridiculously hard to program for. 3) It's just not all it's cracked up to be. The only thing it has going for it is it's a cheap Blu-Ray player. Well, it will only be the "cheap Blu-Ray player" for so long. XBOX live pwns PS3 online, completely. Nintendo's online even beats out PS3's. How can the PS3 be worth it? Without using the words "potential" or "wait for good games." Because, to be honest, none of the PS3 exclusives are set in stone, aside from maybe MGS 4. I don't even like those games.

When you compare the systems and are worried about price, it comes out to be a better deal for the ps3When comparing the 2 better systems of each, these are the ps3 advantages: (aka, ps3 has more things included for only $200 more-40 more gigabytes on hard disk drive-100% backwords compatibility with ps2 and ps1 games-Built-in WiFi card ($100 add-on to xbox 360 premium)-Built in hi-def movie player = blu-ray ($149 HD-DVD drive add on to xbox)-HDMI Output (xbox cant achive hightest res: 1080p)-Memory Stick reader (...xbox cant do that, period)- No need to pay $$$ for online gaming, friends, messages, all that is free on ps3 (monthly fee for xbox live)-PS3 discs (blu-ray) can hold 50GB of data (more resolution and more depth and story and niceness of games) where as xbox 360 games are the normal 8GB dvds (pitiful)-Hook up to the psp to add more features in future games, such as a second screen for a map or something like you saw on the Nintendo DS-Games suck right now but will eventually catch up with 360s games.

I think the PS3 will be great in a couple months, it's just that they have no games that make a statement for it. If they get a goood overall game that matches the PS3's talents it will rise above the ither consoles.

ps3 is too expensive (600€). and there is no mod-chips allready. and blu-ray disc is to expensive too (about 40€) and the recorder of blu-ray is about 600€. i think i will buy an mod-chipped ps2, at least its not to expensive, and its not dead yet. i was thinking of pirate copies of games, its more cheaper, but with ps3 does not compensate doing piracy.

well microsoft are release a 120gb hardrive in the near future so that ruins that pointthe ps3 is not 100% backwards compatible sony has confirmed that not all games are bc, microsoft are working on there bc and most popular games are bcso you dont need a wifi card to play the console you can use cables, not everyone has wifi but it is an extraso Hi-def player ad on means you dont wear out the dvd-rom drive in the consoleWhy do you need a memory stick reader on a game console, if you want to plug a memory stick into the xbox 360 you can just plug an external one into the USB portswow you don't have to pay for online gameing on ps3, but xbox live has many more players, a better service and there is more free content on xbox live aswell which you dont have to pay for, ps3 lacks thissince when did games take up 50gb, even if they took up more than 8gb its easy just to make the game a two disk gamewhy would you want to add a second screen for a map on the psp its hardly something that makes me want to buy a ps3well ps3 is not worth it, to much, few good exclusives

Naw, PS3 fanboys will always say that PS3 is worth 600 USD, but seriously, think about what you're paying for.Exclusives are going to be few and far on the PS3. Even Rockstar is moving the GTA series to Xbox 360 now.
