to put in my two cents:none of the next gen consoles are anywhere near their potential right now. They are all testing the waters. The only one that is anywhere near it is the 360, because of the jump it got on the competition. The problem is, it looks like the 360 isn't going to be getting any better. The wii right now is crappy, because it has no games. SSBB will change that. it will be the first in a chain of awesome games that will adorn the wii.The ps3 shouldn't even exist yet. It's a peice of future technology that was developed 3 years before it was practical. The hardware itself takes $800 jsut to produce. Theres no way the price will fall anywhere in the near future. So far it's not doing well because no one can afford one. It doesn't have much support because no one has one, and the games are so beefy it takes a while to produce them. All in all, it's too early to judge the systems.

Hell no the PS3 isnt worth it.. 600 dollars ? lots of things you can do with that.. You can get a Wii and 360 with that money if you can get a deal on both

At any rate, the point of the PS3 is to be future proof. Its so expensive because it's technology that isn't ready yet for mass production. It's worth having, jsut not at this time, for that much money.

You saying this, is like saying the PS3 will never look better. I said, not one page ago, that as the engines get more advanced, the amount of resources needed always decreases. If you think that the 360 isn't going to look better than it already does, than the PS3 isn't ever going to look any better than the 360 does now. Look at the GPUs yourself, and compare them. In my opinion its not worth it right now, but that is certainly subject to change when GTA4, FFXIII, and especially MGS4 come out, I am anxiously awaiting those games...

i think ps3 will become better with more games. but for now x-box 360 is better cuz you get everything the ps3 has except a little more loading time. not that anyone really notice's..

It all comes down to...the games!!! And Sony hasn't released many good games for the PS3 yet =/ the 360...personally I don't like XBOX's much but I'd have to say its worth its price atm since PS3 is so damn expensive ><....but in the future when the price drops and new games come out..I'd defintely pick the PS3 over the 360 oO. Wait I already have a PS3 =p

Yes, because GTAIV and Metal Gear Solid 4 are console sellers in my opinion. Also, BioShock, one of XBox360s most promising exclusives, is now on the PS3

Dude...First of all, I wouldn't call Bioshock a "promising exclusive." That's GoW, and Halo 3. Bioshock, is like something I would never play. It looks, well, gay. It still hasn't even been confirmed that game is even going to PS3. GTAIV...would also be something I would call a promising exclusive, however, it's not exclusive to the PS3 anymore. He keeps saying how much better the games are on 360, and I just remind him the only exclusives worth ANYTHING from M$ are Gears and the Halos. I think the fact Oblivion even came to PS3 is indicative that it will be Sony and Nintendo down the stretch -- the 360 will wimper into the night.

Oblivion was never an XBOX exclusive, you tool. It was always on the PC. What about games like Fable, DOA, Amped, PGR, Forza. That's only a few, but I guess those games suck, huh? Nah too much. 600$ and 60$ for games is overkill. I remember when N64 games were 70$ that was something else...........Blockbuster was my friend in those days. Back then they even used to rent out systems!

PS3 has had a faulty start, but it is worth it in my opinion because it has the support of many 3rd parties and will possibly produce more quality games as a result. This was the same case with the ps2, since it had too many games to count . PS3 also uses a more powerful processor with blu-ray, which would potentially provide much better quality games. Looking at the past, it took ps2 around 2 years before publishers could fully harness the ps2 and even go beyond that. Also, analysts predict that Sony will most likely drop the price by $100 to better compete with the other 2 systems.

price drop won't happen any time soon since sony are making close $200 loss on the 60GB modeland as for lasting 10 years,i dont think the RSX gpu will ever have in power to push games that come out over the course of ten yearsby about year 6-7 it'll have to face the next xboxSony just put bluray in the PS3 to win the format war and its doin that pretty wellhttp://nexgenwars.com/The numbers speak for them selves
