I guess everyone has heard by now that there won't be rumble support in the new controllers for the PS3. Is anyone else really dissapointed about this? I know I am, cause it adds so much to the game.

Ya I can say for sure that im gonna miss the rumble feature but its by no means something thats gonna diswuade me from buying the system... and you have to admit that although there is no rumble the gryoscope in the new controller might turn out to be prety damn good and inventive

Not particularly. Yes, the rumble feature has brought exitement to the games, but it is also the rumble feature that is the most distracting thing imaginable. You get hit, all of a sudden your hands shake. I know it's freaked me out a couple of times.

Yes its actually the final reason that made me decide to not buy the ps3. 1. I love the rumble feature the rumble just feels right.2. They got rid of it to steal the Wiis inovation

I have never really even noticed or cared about the rumble feature. I think its great that sony is taking away something old and putting in something new. I'm pretty sure that 3rd party companies could make rumble PS3 controllers in the future if people really missed it :)

Yeah, that SUCKS. Rumble is awesome. It added that extra dimension to the game where you actually feel it, especially for FPS games. I'll miss it....

Yes and no... I don't really like the shock effect when it comes to fighting games... kinda puts me off, but in FPS games its awsome.

Yea rumble was one of the big selling points for console game since N64 came out with the rumble pack and PS made rumble controllers. Dont think it will hurt them though. The real disapointment comes to those of us who found other uses for these vibrating playtoys XD

It sucks, but I bet alot of other companies will give it some kind of vibration effect. Sometimes it got annoying, like you'd put the controller down for a second on a table and all you can hear is banging because it's vibrating on the table.

No rumble? That's not cool. I've always enjoyed having the runble motion in the controller. It really adds something into the game and makes it a little more cinematic don't ya think?

I am so unbelievably happy to see it go. Never really added much to the games, and I usually just turned it off, 'cuz if not, then it was just a matter of time before I put the controller down for a second or two, and it vibrated its way loudly across the desk, and fell off onto the cat or dog. The only thing I ever really liked the vibration for, was the fact that it made the PSX controller comfortably heavy and sturdy, much more solid-feeling than say, the flimsy little scrap of plastic that was the SNES remote.

Action will not be the same without rumble...But they had to do it, otherwise, they'd pay a lot of money to u-know-who...

I like the rumble feature, but it's called vibration feature. Well the controller can't rumble cause the ps3 controller is wireless. If it rumbles and you drop it on accident, it might rumble away to your neighbor's house to cheat on you.
