I pick both by using different saves. By some unique pairings, the endings (ones you can choose) are more logical.

I picked the boy, and I haven't started a girl file yet. I am assuming it starts out much differently... it would be a disappointment for it to basically start out the same way.

Like pokemon ruby and saffire, i'm a guy so i start with the guy. I dont wanna be in the middle of a fight and i gotta go cuz my period started....When playing, did you pick the boy or the girl character?I personally went for the dude first time around, but have another file for the girl. : )

I picked the boy at first, but the facial expressions looked so retarded on him that I switched to the girl 10 minutes into the game. Expressions were still retarded but at least they looked more natural.
