well i guess this is more of a general question but this topic looks familiar though I'm not sure. Anyways I'l move this and the hardest boss would probably be Penance.

Omega in FF 5 is really hard. I don't think I've ever beaten it.

ruby and emerald were pretty annoyingly hard (since they were optional, of course they were hard)

Omega from FF5 was pretty difficult. So is the Ruby & Emerald Weapon from FF7 and Zozma from FF9.

Paragon...Ruby....Emerald......most of the extra bosses that were optional were all pretty hard....but not that hard...

I would go with the Ruby weapon, mainly because I have beaten every other boss in the ff series and I still have yet to beat that son of a........... Man I hate him so much.

Honestly I would have to say none of the Final Fantasy monster are "hard." If I had to pick the hardest out of all the Final Fantasy games I couldn't because given how much sleep I had at a given time I fought each boss varies so anything I say is un-scientific. I will say though that the original three final fantasy's for the NES posed the most challenge to me because of simple notion: they where all boring.

Actually it's called Ozma, and yeah I think it's pretty hard too.Well the hardest boss for me was a giant ball in FF9, think it was called omega.
