The dark aeons are the hardest bosses in FF gaming thus far. Not even a charcter at max stats and all bonus equipment and ultimate weapons can beat them easily. Though the monsters in the monster arena some are even harder then the dark aeons.

Ruby and Emerald WEAPON in Final Fantasy VII are probably the hardest I've ever played. Particularly if you don't use Knights of the Round (that just makes it too cheap now, no?).Ruby is just long and annoying...taking on Emerald is quite challenging, and very fun, particularly if you don't use KotR (or Bahamut ZERO, and or real big summon...except maybe for Phoenix

The dark aeons and Yu Yevon are annoying but not the hardest, you will automactically have auto-life poermentally so you cannot die! If one of your party memebers are Koed an angel will come and revive him/her to critical status.Note: You still can use Yuna in your party but summoning is totally usuless, espcially at Yu Yevon, by then you kiled all aeons and you can't use her overdrive. Still uyse Holy to your hearts content (give her a 1mp ablility on her staff)Hardest boss.... I say the ones at the monster arena, which I have to agree, they are annoying. Hardest FF Boss to me.. would have to be Ruby WEAPON from FFVII. You have to start that fight out crippled no matter what!!

Ruby weapon FFVII. he is the hardest boss ever, took me 3 hours, lvl 99. hen i first fought him I got scared cause i hade the ultima wepon for cloud and omni slash. i was 9 and didnt understand the 101, miss, miss, 0 damage i would inflict on him. then i used knites of the round and beat him in three hours.

Lets see from my FF7 days it was ruby period dot and FF10 of course im stuck on (Sin) aka that guys ultimate aeon which is Jecht and FF9 phhh peace of cake(pie) i beat every freak boss and whenu get the ship got to the island and fight those cute sheep looking beasts that give massive xp easy smeasy

Nemesis was a normal fight not a boss, same with ruby and emerald as they were optional, yes they were among hte most difficult but they can't count as they weren't bosses.FFX's last bosses were the biggest cake walk ever, the FINAL form took me one shot - Aurons final overdrive was teh first and ONLY attack i got ot use cos I killed it in one hit) absolute cake.Hardest FF boss ever hmm, thats a toughie cos there's no REALLLL tough one but perhaps exdeath onff5 if you're not cheap and use the silly samurai gil toss ability (i got to the final bit in my 30's so of course it was gonna be hard LOL)

The hardest FF boss I have fought ever was probably Ultimecia at the end of FFVIII. I have played a lot of FF games but haven't finished them all. Sin on FFX was easy. But easiest boss is Sephiroth at the end of FFVII.

The Omega Weapon series are the hardest since they are only optional bosses. Of them, The Red Omega Weapon in the desert in FF7 was the hardest one for me. I had 2 Maters Sumon gems, 2 Master Majic, 2 Master Counter Majic gems but sill got my donkey kick.

You think the bastard's tough in FF5, try fighting him in FF1 & 2 on GBA. Easily the hardest boss I've come across in an FF game (although I've never played any in the series beyond VI...i think Omega in FF 5 is the hardest

FF8's boss was pretty simple (even omega weapon), ff7's weapon are tough but easy if you configure in the right mode the materia, for now i haven't played ffx so i agree with the weapon in ff5
