I'm also one of these european videogamers, I played the first Summon Night game emulated and I guess I'll have to play the second emulated as well, sad.I wanted to support this serie by buying a copy, but this won't happen.I'm not high on importing though.

wow the game is very similar to the jap version.some names changed (esshi or edge=edgar, tatan=tatiana), but the gae is still cool.the onluy problem are the voices, the edgar voice is cool but the voice of reki (loki, the oni child) has a better voice in jap version.

After playing the game for a few hours now, I'm thinking it to be one of the best sequals ever made. I don't think I've ever seen a game with so many changes to the original formula that made it all the more fun.Highly recommended.

Yup, I'm liking this game so far. I'm not liking the new weapon system too much. Finding materials is much harder to do in this game than in the previous one.Still, I like how the damage you do to your weapon in one battle carries over to the next. Adds some realism to fights, but it is getting really annoying with my weak, low-level weapons. I remember having to backtrack several times because my weapons' HP were getting really low.I don't like the idea of how Edgar likes Lynn from the get go. Frankly, I liked the idea of the previous version of how you could get the main character to like various different other ones. That was a fun little diversion.Still, I'm playing with Arno as my Guardian Beast and as a character, he is brilliant.

Seeing I'm in the middle of playing it now I must say I'm impressed. I like the graphics for it, however the weapon system for this one could be a little better. I'll see what my outlook is on it after I beat it.

Well I've played the game and I have to say, it's way better than the first. More to do, weapon mods, MECHA BATTLES :3, and my favorite: You can choose which Guardian Beast you want. I'm not the type for those personality tests that affect the whole game. Oh, and everything is way cooler. No longer is my main guy a wimp, now he is some badass dude who ISNT like 10 years old. I'd bet he's at least 16 based on his voice. Pros: Better design (characters/areas)Weapons are more balanced (I don't use just swords now)More contentWeapon modsMecha battlesBetter storyCons: Battle still feels unbalanced with the wonky spellcastingEven with more content it's not that long

Well I liked this game... gave it a quick playthrough today and it was pretty good. I really loved the first game so I was kind of disappointed in this one >_< The guardian beasts and characters in Swordcraft 2 were imo less likeable than in 1 (I chose Loki- I've heard that the robot is funny though). The dialogues in 1 just blow 2 right out of the water. However, I do like that they made the game a little longer (it's still a bit short though), and levelling was definitely way slower which was good. I don't quite like the new forging system- finding bases for the weapons was a pain especially for swords. The art for the game is very pretty though. Another gripe I have- I played the Japanese version before (not thoroughly) and the voices were far superior. I played as the female main character and her voice in this version was just :| Didn't suit the cute character at all. I still liked the game, it was fun to play through even though the story was somewhat predictable. Maybe if I give it a few more tries I'll find it even more enjoyable ^^
