A lot of us make a mistake in video games. You make a wrong turn, you choose the wrong weapon, you challenge an enemy that you should have run from. We all do it. But have you ever made an embarrassing mistake that had you shaking what the hell you were thinking? Or at least confused you as to why you were that confused?My case: While playing Final Fantasy 3, I had gotten to the river-rafting trip with Baron, Sabin, Edgar and Terra, which is fairly early. However, at the end of this trip, you run into an octopus by the name of Ultros. Well, Ultros' starts the battle by saying "GAME OVER". For some reason, I was confused and frustrated, so I thought I had to reset my game.I did this about three times, thinking I had to somehow avoid the confrontation with Ultros. It was only the fourth time when I'd been sighing with disgust that I noticed that the squid was just being pompous.I still can't believe I wasted all that time with that stupid squid.

i wouldnt say it was embarassing but when i booted up Disgeia one day and saw the time played on it and realized that i had devoted a total of one solid week of my life to that game. I felt like i had lost some life, somethign important....but then i kept playing cause its an awesome game

My most embarassing moment playing a game was in a shopping centre playing the PS2 Eye Toy game and waving my hands around looking like a tool!

i wont say this was embarrasing but i sure was shaking my head...In one of the final fantasys i walked into a fire boss battle with no weapons other than, you guessed it Flame swords and fire spells... lets just say it didn't turn out to well for the 3 times i tried to kill it before i realized that i wasn't even hurting it...

in FF II when Cecil has to fight himself to become a plalidn and it says "Dont fight now" so I didnt and lost.

Well, I remember one or two, but now it comes to my mind when my brother and I buyed the game of Taboo: the sixth sense for the NES, and after two of three tries, when was my cnance to know my fate ( 
), suddenly, the cursor started to move even when I didn't touch the controller ( ), then after I said to my sister and brother something like:

Fighting agains Magus in FFIII when you can decide whether fight him or not...I thought once I had defeated him he'd join me but he kinda died hehe...then I learned you had to refuse fighting in order to get him...

i was hitting creeps in FF6 with a heal rod......and i override my awesome save state.....with a crappy one........god damn it

When I was playing Metal Gear Solid 3. I was fighting 'The Sorrow'. Stupid enough not to rely on my codec to help me, kept dying and wondering what I did wrong... Took me 3 or 4 goes just to pass that sequence.

Wily E. Coyote is what my family calls these kinds of mistakes. and this was one of the most specatualr and emberrasing ones of them all, but first a littile history. the game is Miner 2049er and the set up was this the stick that I was holding for the 800 was not one of the most sensitive in the world, but it got the job done because I had gone through the first five levels with out dieing, a real feat for that game, anyways, there was only two spots tha I had yet to get to before getting six in the bag and what hapens? I jumped and had forgotten one how high up I was and what was wating for me at the bottom. a radiation pool. OOPS!

Has anyone seen that video where a guy and a girl sneak in to a roommates room where the room mate is masturbating to a video game (I think its WoW). that and the fact that its all over the internet has to be the most embarassing thing that can happen playing video games.

playing an online game called ragnarok online for around a year only to find out that you can't get past a certain lvl(not 99....more like 82)and after another year find out that your still the same lvl...i shake my head everytime i think about this

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The first dungeon in the tan world, when you have to get the crystal. You know that statue that has a different colored eye than the rest? When you shoot it with the bow, the wall next to it slides out. I'm embarrased to say it took me three years to figure out, and I really didn't figure out, I shot its eye on accident while messing around. lol!

a long time ago, when i was playing pokemon red, when the game was still messed up, i was battling sabrina and her alakazam, i was using my exegecute? to battle her since she knocked out all my pokemon some how, i dont remember, anyways i ran out of pp and just had barrage left, alakazam would only use recover. and since it was red it couldnt run out of pp. and then i had to use struggle, and it still recovered, it was lame.

It wasn't embarrassing for me, but it makes me shake my head. A friend and I were playing Call of Duty, and we were inside a small room with Sniper rifles. We were trying to shoot each other at close range, while circling around each other. It was funny, but then I meleed him, just in case one of us got shot.

I was just about to beat FFII for the first time when I let my younger brother play for a bit and he saved over my game file. That was the biggest mistake of both our lives.

Yea, back when Pokemon came out and I was a young'un, I had taken forever to get to the end of the game... and I was finally gonna beat it! I was on the final battle, and then my grandpa really wanted me to go to the grocery store with him. So, knowing I had full battery, I left it on the table muted and went with him... when I came back, my mom had tried to play the game and had made a new file... and SAVED... yea... um... heh... that was bad

I remember when I was playing Final Fantasy (I think it was FF2). And I was battling a really tough boss, he was trowing me all kinds of powerful Magic Spells and curing himself every 2 attacks.Then I was going to use the spell that reflects the Magic spells back to your opponent, but accidentally I pressed the left button and used the barrier on my enemy (I wasn't able to use Magic against him 
) , then my opponent tried to cure himself, but he had the barrier on him, so he cured me 
. Lucky me...Then I tought that to win I only had to protect myself from his Magic attacks and I putted a Barrier on myself too 
Bad ideaThat was stupid, the creature started to cure me, so it colud reflect on him, and he started attacking himself to attack me with the barrier that I putted on him before. I Felt really stupid for ruinning my good luck.

once i was playing FF cant remember which one, i think it was 8 and i was playing my file that was based on being good at the in game card game thing, and i accidently saved it over my file that was up to the second last boss. i was so god dam annoyed!
