I use windows media player. Sometimes I open my itunes and play the movies there. Either way, both are compatible.

I use Windows Media Player. But, for the anime i have that's subbed i have to use a special program to open it. It's a certain type of codec pack, but it opens through a default program: Windows media classic. Lately that's what I've been having to use to open and watch my anime. It's actually not too bad, that's the first time I've used the classic. And, i love how you have the feature of changing the subtitles. Change it's format, color, and even the text size and shape. :o

I vote Other.
I use VLC Media Player. co'z of its lite size and many user preference.
The only downside is that there are videos it's not compatible with specially those that are encoded and is not recognized by VLC.

seems that quite a number of people voted other for VLC player.
I uses them too because i guess currently it provides the most supported format without having to resort into codec downloads.

I usually use Media Player Classic because of its simplicity, but if all goes wrong with MPC, I use VLC.

Daum PotPlayer, configured for the highest quality output with hardware acceleration for Hi10p and regular 8-bit encoding of my anime.
For older series, I jump to MPC to play them properly.
For Bluray media, PowerDVD.

can't beat vlc, especially if you watch anime in subbed, like i do. things like windows media player don't support the subtitles of half my anime, like SAO and Hellsing, so i had to get vlc.
