Mine was FF8. Back then I didn't really undestand English at all so basically my "playing" was limited to running around killing bees. After few years I actually played the game through yet I had no idea about functions or the story line. Still I enjoyed smacking foes around, even if I didn't know my motives to do so. B)Last year I got my hands on the game again and this time I actually understood the point of all that adveturing and after I little while I also got into the function system. FF8 isn't the best out there but still a very playable game. Nobody shot any laser beams from their nipples but I'll forgive them that.

I clicked the wrong FF for the vote...!! Duh, whatever...I played that on SNES emulator 6-7 years ago. The first Final Fantasy I played on PlayStation is the Final Fantasy VIII; I got it free when I bought the PlayStation. 
The shopkeeper was kind enough though...

the first FF i played was the VIIIa was shocked with such videos.i think that game influenced me to enter the console worldbefore that i was simply a handheld guy..

ff7 is good, ff8 is better but with me ff9 is the best 'cause it as my first ff

Why isnt Final Fantasy 1 listed? I started on that one, and

the first final fantasy i played was ff7 n in my opinion it is definitely the best!

The first FF I ever played was FFIV. It was followed by FFVIII, which got me hooked on the FF universe.

The first FF game I ever played was the original for NES but for PS1 it was FF8.It's still my favorite of the PS FF games. Squall and Cypher are awsome characters.
