my gamecube broke pretty quickly, I was always under the impression that the laser got dirty. My cousins lasted for years, every time it stopped working we would just beat the crud out of it and it'd be fine.

Mine went strong until the day I sold it. Nintendo's stuff usually lasts pretty well.I felt guilty trading it in though. Like I was betraying an old friend :)

My boyfriend's died maybe a month after the warranty expired. Mine's still going strong, though, and has had no problems whatsoever =D

About one or two years and counting. I've always brought it to my friend's house on Sunday to avoid chores (using garbage bags for waterproof) but the controllers are going haywire.

I had mine for three years and got it from a friend who had it for two before that. Neither of us ever had any problem with it breaking down.

Mine I think lasted for about a year and my brother plugged it to the wrong voltage but we bought a new adapter so it still runs like before.
