I think NSMBs, but it is not an innocent choice, indeed i have already play at Mario 64 on my Nintendo 64 (I know you can play with different persons but it is nearly the same game so...). Definivitely NSMBs...+

New Super Mario Bros. hands down because I never could get used to playing Mario 64 with a d-pad.

Meh, I would say that NSMB is fun while it lasts, but SM64 is a almost as fun and long game.

New super mario bros is a really really fun game. 64 sometimes makes you mad with the akward controls

Both are great, but there's no way I'm not going to pic and old-school platformer. New Mario Bros. makes me happy. I thought they'd never go back to the roots.

I've been a hardcore mario veteran and I have to say NSMB is some fun $#!T of course buy both but get NSMB now because I'm sure you already had the satisfaction of beating Mario 64 it has great replay value like most Mario games (not all)[Mario Party series, Mario Sunshine](those games blo).

Was wonderin which was better, personally, i think Super Mario 64 DS is better, loved replaying the original since my 64 broke

I would go with Mario Kart, only if he has someone else to play with over DS DOwnload Play or somebody else has a Mario Kart. I haven't played New Mario Bros. thoroughly, I just played a few level on my cousin's DS.

I loved the New super Mario Bros, i'm still playing, now just for the heck of it. I would say that but Mario kart got one advantage WiFi if you going be a wifier then I say get Mario Kart otherwise New superMario bros.

It depends. If you have Wifi, get Mario Kart. If not, then New Super Mario Bros. I'll post some info about both games since I own both:New Super Mario Bros.PROS:- Some pretty fun mini-games (More to play when connected with others)- Plays like the original Super Mario Bros. so retro Mario fans rejoice!- A lot of replay values- New items like Mega Mushroom and the blue turtle shellCONS:- No new mini-games can be unlocked- No feathers and whatsoever since it's like the original Mario Bros.- No wifiMario Kart DS:PROS:- Wifi compatiblility- Replay Values (Not as much as New Super Mario Bros. though...)- Lasts pretty long if you play wifiCONS- All players that are connected from DS to DS are required to have their own cartridges if you guys plan on playing the full game (Download Play allows only 4 battle stages and Mushroom Cup in VS mode)- Not all tracks are available on wifi.

I think New Super Mario Bros is definately better, unless you have a few friends that have a ds. Mario Kart is awesome multiplayer, but for single player, you can't beat the new super mario bros.

Mario Kart DS for sure. It's got Wi-Fi capabilites... and it's Mario Kart! Duh!
