Mario Kart DS fo sho. New Super Mario Bros. is fun if you have no firends and like to be alone...but wait so is MK. Plus the Wi-Fi of MK is OK (too much glitching) but if you beat a firend on Wi-Fi, it's so good because you call them and you shout "NOOB!" and hang-up, classic.MK DS it is for me.

If he has someone to play with that has a DS, I'ld buy MKDS. Otherwise, MKDS gets boring quite fast, so buy New super bros instead :)

You will get a much better replay value out of mario bros, but mario kart is cool for the wifi!

Sorry, but the kart franchise is mostly dead. I'd rather do some old skool mario action game stuff.

As much as i love the new mario bros, theres nothing like being able to pick up mariokart and beat some 14 year old at any hour of the day on the wifi. both are must haves.

Seriously people, do we really need to keep posting here? I mean, his question has allready been answered. You're all saying the same thing. MK is better for wifi. NSMB is better for local multiplay and single play. We get it.

If they were released at the same time I would have perfered Mario64, but since is has been put for about 10yrs now and I have beat it about 5 times, lol, NSMB has it beat today.

I dunno. I liked them both equally for different reasons. 64DS was about 85% identical to the original N64 version, so that probably loses it out for the New SMB(even though it's exactly like the first mario game). Not that that is a bad thing. The gameplay is smooth and solid, just like any italian plumber should be.

even though it was fun, and added a few new gameplay elements, smb64ds didn't grab my attention as much as nsmb. i guess i was drawn to the old school feel.

Mario64 is the better game IMO, but I can't play the ds version cause the regular control scheme hurts my hand. i tried the touch screen controls, but couldnt get used to that at all. my preference on ds is NSMB

With 64DS it's next to impossible to play the game well without mastering the touchscreen controls. Something i never could quite get the hang of. So NSMB FTW.

I played throught the whole game without once touching the screen (except for minigames and such where there's no other way). And, while I think 64 is a better game overall, I'd have to say New cuz it's... new. While 64 is like... really old.

IF the controls on 64DS are the same as for N64, I don't think I can get used to it, New SMB looks better, nad are more creative (I think), but their'e bothgreat games!

NSMB because it's more original. Plus, using the D-pad in 64 DS is hard.

NSMB hands down. The multiplayer minigames are a blast, especially speed.

I think it is New Super Mario Bros. because I have played Super Mario 64 already, and the DS version is almost the same.
