yea indeed. catching all pokemons is really hard. and filling up the pokedex as well. i guess tts when cheats come in

The game itself is easy, because is designed for kids. The challenge is in "collecting pokemons", then it can be very hard, since there are some that can appear in determined times or not.

Well, finishing the game is pretty easy. It's just a matter of getting strong pokemon and matching them up so that the opponent gets hit with a super effective.

if youve been playing since the first red and blue versions then you can master the games so which make it easy

It gets really easy later once your pokemon have taken their steriods 
But in the begining, it's a moderate difficulty.

I think the Pokemon Gold is too easy. It was my first Pokemon game and I beat Ash (Red) using almost only Lapras. He was level 50+ (I didn't train him, because I don't like him) and he defeated Pikachu (level 80 or something like that) and 2 more Pokemons (I don't remember them).I laughed all the day, because my strongest Pokemons (Dragonite, Snorlax and some others with levels 80+) could take a day off.

pokemon has always been easy for me like 1 day to beat...even wit no previous experience all u have to do is do the 1 set thing only train 1 pokemon and try to pick like a type wit less likelyness of weakness'(exp:in emerald i choose treecko because water types and grass types are common but firetypes not so much and grass pwns ground earth water so hands down best choice) i make the 1st pokemon into a powerhouse (seriously it was lvl 93 when i was battling lvl 40's >_> ) as soon as it hits 100 just use it to train the other 1's i find this is the fastest way to finish pokemon lolz and if u have the exp share and use the switching combo its even faster to get all ur favs to high lvl and then enjoy the hell outta the game

yes, trainers pokemon need to levle up one levle for each 3 your ones levle up and have better ai

It depends on your goal really. It's easy if all you aim to do is beat the Elite Four. While otherwise, if you're trying to collect them all, it's really difficult (Unless you cheat).

It's amazingly easy to just beat everyone in the game.. you can do it using only your starter and noone else.. and not even grinding levels either.. if raise it right all you ever need is your starter and some other dummy pokemon for HM moves.

yea with emulation it is very easy to never die. thank you load and save state. but red version was the coolest when it first came out. off topic but yes very easy with emulation, mildly easy without

Well, like most RPGs, you can overlevel yourself to make the game easier. But generally pokemon is pretty easy is you grab a few levels in the grass now and then.

Well the way i see it is like thisPokemon is only easy if your goal is to just rush through the game and beat the main story line but if you wana take your time and catch all the pokemon it really doesnt matter what lvl you are cuz you still have to hunt them all downso Yes its easy and No its not easy
