i would probably say tenkaichi is better because of the gameplay as well as the graphics

Budokai 1 and 2 pretty much bite the dust on all levels in comparison to Budokai 3, so theres no contest here. Personally i think that Tenkaichi is better than Budokai 3 gameplaywise, it plays fast enough, has lots of freedom of movement, the special attacks arent complicated to perform - yet also not too hard to dodge; This really helps competitive gameplay against unpractised people.I know that the fact of No-Ingame-Transformations is a turnof for some. I think its great for the overall character-builds, in the other games, to make a Goku SSJ3 you had to 'waste' like 4 out of 7 itemslots just to be able to powerup - which gave you like +15% attack and +5% defense (for example), leaving a mere 3 slots for moves - meaning you wouldnt dare equipping a nice item-capsule. In Tenkaichi the difference in power between characters and transformations might be a bit to great, but i personally like to tweak my chars, meaning multiple Kamehamehas, some other moves and some items.But as i said, for me most important was the vs mode, in which it wasnt fun for me to play Budokai 3. Since i could easily perform every move myself, while the other had no possible way (even after indepth explanations) - and if they did fire something big, i could easly dodge with my timing, which the others couldnt. And in Tenkaichi it was actually possible to go hand-to-hand with someone, without fearing those dreaded Dragonrushes/Hypermodes

I own 1,2, and 3 of all of them 3 is my fave.It finally gives you the teleport ability.Sagas was unique but most of my friends didn't like it. Dbz is hard to do in RPG form apparently.

tenkaichi is good by the 3D Grafik but you cannot transform by the battle thats really ****... and there are not very good atts.. Budokai is really better..

Dragonball Z budokai 3 is great i think. I own all of them and that one seems to be the best because the characters are cool and the game modes awesom

if you want a side-to-side fighter Budokai 3 is the best bet, but if you want free-roamer with tons of explosions and a large cast of characters go to Tenkaichi, or if you want a really awesome free-roamer with even more explosions, an awesome story mode, and a gargantuous cast of characters wait a few days and get Tenkaichi 2

Dragonballz Budokai: Tenkaichi 2 is definately the greatest one. With the sorta RPG styled storymode and the crap load of characters. It'll keep you busy til you move your way to an MMO, lol

DBZ Budokai tenkaichi 2 of course,the contol fig is really doing great with the in-game action.DBZ Tenkaichi 3 is good to with addition of new characters and CD fusion system.But bad in in-game gmeplay,to me,because it is hard to fight with the opponent.Maybe I'm just not get use to it yet.
