XII, hands down. It was innovative, visually stunning, the story was involving and the characters had unique motivations. I got a little tired of level grinding sometimes, but that's something you'll get in any RPG, not unique to this one.

FFXII. Simply because it is different from any FF series available and the graphic and sound are amazing.

FFX had a far better story compared to ffXII. I felt that FFXII had way to much politics. FFX stuck to more of an old school jrpg feel that i really enjoyed.

Exactly why I disliked FF10. It brought nothing new to the table besides the 'okay' sphere grid.

I loved FFX, I never tried FFXII though, so I can't comment on that, but FFX was great, good story good movie scenes, all in all it was great. Wish I still had it though but I sold it haha. But I might try FFXII if you all would suggest that to me, I like giving some games at least one try before deciding if I like it or not.

Hate to say it but FF X was better. I liked the graphics better though I have to say i was nice getting back to a larger world with XII. I did miss the old battle system. I think X's system was just better.

FFXII (((( 'coz of Balthier )))) 'coz FFX is a tad bit overrated...Although FFXII is guilty for insufficient backstory and OVERLY reliable battle (gambit) system. It's still pretty good... and better ( I think) than FFX... I think...

I enjoy FF X for its story line, but XII for the graphics. They were both built for the same system but at different ends of the console's lifespan. Overall, I would replay FFX over FFXII anyday.

I like Final Fantasy X, It was so good  plus, I only played 12 for like 10 minutes before deciding it wasn't worth the effort.

Both are horribly long and boring and just drag on when you want them to end, but I say FFXII is the lesser of two evils.I think all nomura FFs suck, FFX included.FFXII is a single player MMO with none of the benefits of MMOs, such as the social aspect and other stuff, while FFX is a overly dramatic cheesy soap opera starring ladyboys(such as tidus)

I can't pick between the 2. I like them both. Though I still haven't gotten around to actually beating FFX.

X was better in terms of story, but graphic and battle system of XII was much better because it came out later..

X is better, it has a better story, and it lacks the annoying Vaan character (although Tidus is no charmer) whose voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Though I need to point out the fact that it is nigh impossible to get the best equipment in both games without a guide, something that was quite organical and natural in the older games, square should take note of this, getting the best equipment should be done through fun, rewarding and challenging sidequests; in XII getting the best weapons was a particularly tedious chore, you spent 3 hours in the same level making chains to get one stupid item, wich is made all the more unrewarding when you realize you need 2 more of that item and a bunch of other stuff that are just as tediuos to get... it just makes me think how much better VII got it: defeat Ultima weapon get Cloud's best sword, defeat the ridiculously powerful ruby and emerald weapon get the master materia set and a golden chocobo... simple is better and not necessarily less challenging than overly speciffic, time consuming and complicated systems.

XII. I wish the original vision would have went through with Basche being the main character. I'd like to congratulate Squenix for dropping the ball on that and throwing Vaan and Penelo in there for no real reason. The gambit system is awesome, if you don't let it play the game for you, and the voice acting is just top notch. The only problem I have with it are the random loot drops and random chests. Oh, and it has Han Solo. I mean Balthier. Every time I replay X, I just get pissed off. Horrid voice acting, an awesome battle system flawed by more boredom than if you let the gambits in XII play themselves (Tidus = wolves, Lulu = flan, etc., rinse, repeat for 40 hours), and the entire game felt like one long corridor with brief stops for storyline beats or temples. I did really like Sphere Grid, though Digital Devil Saga came by and destroyed it with it's mechanics. Also: Lulu's breasts. Still would rather play it than VIII, though.

i agree with ff7 being the best one ever but out of final fantasy 10 and twelve i liked ten better because your more the main storyline where as in final fantasy 12 your only a pawn between nations at the start but it has an interesting way of building you up to one of the main players in the war and i like how you can change what characters you can play as in the game

The first FF game i played was FF7, and i thought that that was the best FF game ever!! I was relcutant to give FF X a go because the levelling system seemed so different from previous games... But i eventually gave in and i have to say i think its story is marginally better than FF7's. im also playing FFXII and thoroughly love the seemless gameplay in it! It does get a bit tedious just running your character through a dungeon and having the system kill everything for you though.... but i think its a great installment in the FF series. Still, FFX is my preferred out of FFX and FFXII, the story's better and the battle system makes you feel more involved.
